I Love The Game
I had wanted a set of MP 33's for a long time, but every set I saw had stiff shafts. I'm just not a big hitter and knew that they wouldn't work for me. Then I saw a practically new set on Ebay with 5.0 Rifle shafts, -O.5" and made the plunge. As others have said, these irons provide feedback like none I've ever experienced. I can tell exactly where on the clubface I hit each shot. Off-center hits lose a bit of distance, but not much. Pure strikes are oh so sweet! Even with a swing speed around 90 I can hit a PW 125 with enough spin to back up a ProV1, and I have never before been able to do that. Of course I keep the grooves sharp with a Groove Sharpener. I love the game, love the challenge, and love the pure craftsmanship of these blades. And I'm improving every season, now shooting in the 70's as often as the 80's. What more can one ask? Great tool
Nice
I have bought a set of MP 33 irons and really liked them. A very easy set of blades to hit.

Wonderful Clubs
Wonderful clubs in fantastic condition. I playoff 28 after a break from the game of roughly 10 years, so most would suggest steering well clear of blades but, to be honest, I don't find them any harder to hit than game improvement irons and they look so fantastic and the feel when you pure them is sublime.

Sweeeet!
I played a little bit many years ago, decided to take it up again a couple of years ago and friend recommended these improvement irons (Calloway). They were ok, but didn't feel very nice and certainly didn't help much.
Anyway, last year saw a set of mp-33 second hand for next to nothing and bought them.
All my low handicap friends shook their heads and said they were not a good idea for someone like me who isn't brilliant.
Well, that just shows that you shouldn't listen to friends as these are the most amazing clubs, I love them.
When you hit it well, the feeling is great and they fly. I can hit a basket of 90 balls with maybe 4 very poor shots, 3 or 4 just not very straight...but the rest are very true and pure. Such a nice feeling and very soft and smooth. Good weight.
I put some grips on with the rib down the bottom , gave them a polish and coloured in the writing on the head with a black Sharpie , re-grooved it with a tool I bought off Amazon and they are like new again.
I'm playing so much golf now that I am looking round for another set for when I wear these out.
I highly recommend these.

Simply Awesome
These are the best irons I have ever played in my life! I am 9 handicap player and don't think I will ever use any other irons but these. I played Titleist AP2's until I tried these and the rest as they say is history. If your want to take your game to the next level pick up a set and see what I am talking about! I dare you.....

The Club Feels Like A True Blade With A Bit Of Mus
The club feels like a true blade with a bit of muscle.Without meaning to draw many comparisons I do.For a golfer with a playing handicap of five or less, save up some money and give these clubs a go! Stick with them untill there is a little ware mark on the iron face.

who says blades are for pros. nonsense best ive ever hit. dont be put off.. buy them!i got mine for 1902nd hand absolutely mint condition
No good for 15 handicappers unless you like trudging around in the trees and the long grass looking for your sclaffs, shanks and hooks.
You need something more forgiving.
You're a 15 handicapper for a reason.

I Found My Mp-33's On Craigslist For A Steal About
I found my MP-33's on craigslist for a steal about two years ago; I, too, bought into the "these are for low handicappers only" rhetoric, having researched the difference between Mizunos and every other club on the market. They were exactly as they came from the factory (Golf Pride Tour Velvet, Dynamic Gold S300, standard loft/lie.) Having worked part-time at Golf Galaxy for about a year, I knew the importance of getting fitted for clubs (or having the clubs fitted for me, actually.) Turns out, they were just right as they were; a few trips to the driving range proved that it was truly the indian, not the arrows. The bad shots were rewarded with a stinging hand (like a nun with a ruler), and the pured shots were obscenely sweet and solid; I could feel the clubface through my hand. That's kind of hard to describe, but that's the most accurate description I can think of for the sensation of a sweetspot shot with the MP33's. Now, I'm a high handicapper; these clubs are the best source of swing and ball contact feedback that you could ever use. A set of these and a few sessions with a good certified PGA pro, and your wife will become a golf widow; your buddies will keep asking you to use your clubs; the guys at the driving range will slow down a little as they pass your golf bag to have a look; you'll tee up a ball and point your club down the fairway just like Babe Ruth with a bat. Plain and simple: if you want to become a ball-striker (or become a better ball-striker), get a set of these. There is no better investment you can make in golf than a top-shelf set of clubs...
I found this review very helpful because...I also have mp33 clubs and have been told that I should move to cavity backs. I bought R7s but they seem clunky compared to the MP33s. Also, I was told that the MP33 were for low handicappers. But I like the feel, the feedback when you hit a good shot (its like a hot knife through butter), the way they look and line up, and they seem a lot more accurate, especially for touch shots near the green.

Bought A Set Of Mp33's About A Week Ago And They R
bought a set of mp33's about a week ago and they realy impressed me with the playability and the forgivness!! i usualy shoot mid to high 80's the first time out after a few trips to the range i shot 80, my best ever on the course i go to only 6 0ver par. i was stiking the ball better than i ever had and with ease!! i was plying with someping i3 blades and was gonna keep them depending on how the mizunos went but there up for sale now, i read a few reports on the clubs and nearly all were positive so picked some up at a resonable price!! i would recommend these irons to any one who strikes the cleanly. Quality in every department
Q&A
What year were the MP-33 irons released by Mizuno?
