Okuma Interceptor Reel

I bought the interceptors a year ago to replace the entry level Okuma pros I had, I bought one which was swiftly followed by another two. They haven't let me down at all. Line lay is good, thay cast very smoothly and most importantly of all, they have smooth working clutches of which mine have taken a battering. I've landed my PB carp 34lb10oz and PB catfish in the UK at 48lb 8oz. I cannot fault the reel and it proves you don't need to spend £100's on a good reel for big hard fighting fish

The Okuma Interceptor Reel is a great reel, i love using mine. I have used so many different ones but the thing that brings me back to this on is its smoothness. When Im casting and reeling back in everything is just flawlessly smooth. I great allround reel. There is nothing bad about this one.

It is a great reel for coarse and the odd carp! I really like the Okuma Interceptor Reel its the best one ive used.

I am what could be described as the budget carp angler, I'm not on a wage still being in full time education but still enjoy my fishing. I originally had some Big Pit reels bought off a friend and they weren't very good. I then invested in some new Okuma Interceptor IBF50 reels. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised, with the amount of money spent on the reels I didn't expect them to be very good, I was wrong, these are the best reels I have found for the money. They are incredibly smooth, they are excellent for playing in the fish in also. The only problem I have found is that on very rare occasions the bait runner will lock up, this is no major fault as you can just turn the bait runner off and then back on and it will work like a dream once more.

I bought an Okuma Interceptor reel about half a year ago replacing a small Redwolf float reel. The first thing I noticed was the smoothness of the reel and the brilliant bait runner system it was a pleasure to catch a good fish on this reel.
