Fox Micron MMX Bite Alarm

These alarms are great value for money and very reliable. I have owned mine for several years and they haven't missed a beat. Simple to operate and a nice shape and size, a great mid range alarm. Take my word for it. They sell for between £30-£40. Don't be tempted to buy cheaper alarms as the fox micron mx will last you well. I have delks as well but always carry these around for my wife to use.

I have the MMXR and they are excellent alarms - one design fault that spoils them is that the feature control knobs are so small they are impossible to grip and adjust

The Fox Micron MMX Bite Alarm is a Compact alarm with two phono out puts, one for a transmitter system and the other will accomodate the illuminated euro swingers. I have found it extremely reliable and robust.

I have used these alarms for three years and as yet they have never let me down, I now use them with a TXR system and the Fox illuminated Euro swingers and all in all it's a great system for the price.

I recently brought the Fox Micron MMX bite alarm and for the money it is a good piece of tackle to have around. I can line up my fishing rods, relax, and wait for the alram to tell me when theres a bite. Allowing my more relaxed time on the banks of the rivers.

Overall good performance until it goes wrong then I find that repairs can be expensive.

The Fox Micron MMX Bite Alarm is simply the best alarm i have ever used, they look good, they are small, and have great features.

The MMXs are second to the top range in the fox micron m range, a friend has a set of the Micron MX's and after borrowing mine for a weekend has decided to sell his and buy some MMX's. The alarms have drop back differentation so if you have a drop back bite the alarms will give a different tone and the LED will flash as opposed to latch on.

The sensitivity control is a very good feature also. Many night anglers will almost deffinately experienced wind setting off there bite alarms becuase they are too sensitive, with the MMXs you can manually adjust sensitivity to your liking.

The alarms have a very low battery drain, i have still to hear the warning for low batteries and another friend has has the low battery warning for 6 months and the battery still hasn't run out yet.

The MMXs take LR1 batteries.

The Fox Micron MMX's retail at about £54.99 and are available at most good tackle shops.

MMX's come with either Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue LEDs.
