Grisport Dartmoor Shoe for Men

Almost one piece full leather, so easy to clean. Vibram sole design is superb, good grip on all surfaces and also non clogging, comes pretty clean just dipped in a puddle. They will take any standard grippers for icy conditions and I've worn mine with Kartoola micro spikes in extremely icy weather. The Which report indicates the amount of flexing they will take, this is superb leather. New ones do benefit from Grisport's own aerosol spray. I use Nikwax most of the time on my newish pair but have used Zamberland's tubes of stuff on my old pair. Both buff up well to a shine which prevents too much grit sticking to them. I walk most days for an hour on very acid soil and peaty water and they cope with these harsh conditions very well. Compare prices with other makes, note the fussy designs of some (how do you clean them?) and note the sole units which are far less easy to clean than Vibram. Note that shoes allow your ankle to flex, arguably better than some boots which are more like a cast on your foot. I'm 77 years old, have walked all my life and these are the best walking shoes for September to April that I've ever worn. Some of the negative reviews would appear to be part of the drivel that appears on the www and some about sizing are due to ignorance of the variations of the human foot.

Bought a pair of these a couple of years ago or more and wear them all the time. First class whether across moors, up mountains or down the pub. I have really given them a bashing and they have stood up to it. Now the soles are begining to wear out I have just bought another pair. I wear top of the range boots for the really heavy stuff but these will cope with most things the average outward bound walker will encounter.

i bought a pair of these 2 years ago, and after about 1 year ago the soles started to fall to bits! I have just thrown them away, soles completely perished. Terrible.

Best boots I have ever worn. Most comfortable straight from the box. I will buy these again as they are made in Italy and have durable vibram outdoors. Love em

I also purchased grisport boots and the soles split and when i spoke to andy at grisport he basically told me it was my fault but it seem this company will not accept responsability for faulty boots... disgusting
