Asics GT 2120

The Asics GT 2120 is a very comfortable shoe, good support with a light feel. regular runner and loyal to Asics, that said this is not a cheap shoe and the mesh has worn away far too quickly. So looking at alternatives

Love the support of these Asics GT 2120 but have now decided cannot afford to change them so frequently. Have purchased a pair of brooks gt9 and if same thing happens it must be toe lift as has been suggested!

I have bought 5 pairs of Ascis over the years and all have been wonderful. So good in fact I have put others onto them. I am not a runner but a 50 year old who enjoys comfort while walking about 15km a week.

After only 2 months of wearing the Asics GT 2120, I had worn the mesh out above my big toe. None of my other Asics did this despite my big toe being directly under the mesh. This was repaired with a patch but now I find the mesh has worn away at the sides as well. The left one has completely split due to wear. The soles are fine but the fabric mesh to me looks like it is of very poor quality. Very un-Asics like. I have noted too by searching the internet that this is a problem others are having with this shoe.

Having had only 3 months walking out of the Asics GT 2120 when other Asics I have owned where good for years of walking, this shoe seems to me to be of inferior quality for whatever reason. I will now change brand as this has really put me off Asics big time. How can I get my money back?

As i say i have been using these shoes for many years and have been very good, i have not changed although i have looked at other makes i still end up going back to these!
