The Handle Return Spring Has Broken 6 Times In 5 Y

The handle return spring has broken 6 times in 5 years. Each time major rebuild required. I use it 15 mins /day. I'm told by Tunturi I must be abusing the machine - I don't. Out of warranty so now my problem - £100+ to repair and will no doubt break again in ca. 7 mths. I've given up and will be buying a rower from another manufacturer - prob a Waterrower.

Check reliability/easy maintenace when you buy gym equipment!

I too have had it break and it's about to cost me £170 to fix it.

I thought I was rowing correctly.

I have the same problem with my R60 to. For me its the first time the return spring broke. But Tunturi told me i probably used the wrong rowing technique.

A Potentailly Good Machine Which Has Some Fundamen

A potentailly good machine which has some fundamental design flaws. Repair service good although it shouldn't be needed.

Chest belt didn't work, Battery housing impossible to open. Poor mechanism for tying down your feet and yout feet continually come loose. Display unit is unlit and you have to use a torch to read some of the symbols. It should be backlit. Most machines half the price have this. Smooth action marred as the rowing cable catches as you row. Should have a pulley which centralises the cable
