I Was A Member Of Harpers In Maldon For Several Ye
I was a member of Harpers in Maldon for several years but have now left. When I first joined the place was far more friendly, I had two inductions, and proper instructions on how to use the machines, the trainers knew what they were talking about at it was priced competitively. However, over the last year things have gone down hill. Someone higher up the chain has tried to cut costs, new members get a rubbish induction as the company wants you to pay for a personal trainer. Prices have increased to £38 a month plus a £35 joining fee, which is taking the mickey as the gym is quite small and packed in the evenings - its not worth going until 8:30. Also the staff seem bored and all appear to hate working there - as they are all looking to go somewhere else.
