I Have Found The New Staff And Management At The C
I have found the new Staff and Management at the club to be more member friendly and considerate. The Club has introduced many new programs and classes that are free to new members, geared with the goal of getting all members to use the club. Along with the awesome free programs and if you are regularly using the club and in the currently taking advantage of the free programs like Fit for life, you may still get out of your membership even after 30 days. The club is always clean, and I have seen a definitely improvement in the staff interaction over the past year. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Warning! Even If You Move The Required 25 Miles B
WARNING! Even if you move the required 25 miles before your membership runs out you will still get charged the remaining months.
I signed up for a 12 month membership and after 6 months I had to move 300 miles away. I put my account on suspension in case something changed, but I stayed permanently in my new location. They called me to tell me they were re-activating my account, at which point I told them I was closing it due to my move. The woman I spoke to said to write a letter explaining why I couldn't go anymore and include some proof that I moved. So I included a pay stub from my new job located 330 miles away from the gym. I mailed that too them last summer. This summer I receive a call from a collection agency stating i owe the gym $420 for the remaining 6 months. I inform them I canceled my account After 3 months investigating by the collection agency they tell me that since my letter wasn't certified and it didn't count towards canceling my account. Even thought the woman I spoke to did not tell me that I had to certify the letter. Obviously an excuse for them to try and get their $420. Take it from me, stay far, far away from here!

Customer Service At Golds Gyms Is Very Poor. They
Customer service at Golds Gyms is very poor. They do whatever they can to get you to sign a membership but after that they seem to try to make it as difficult as possible to cancel. I added a friend to my membership a year ago and now when I try to cancel his membership they won't allow me to at the gym. They say I have to call the corporate office. When I do they either don't answer the phone as it rings or they appear to put me on hold indefinitely. Old equipment and no customer service.

I Have Been A Member Since They Opened The Gym. It
I have been a member since they opened the gym. It's always been clean. The staff is always friendly and always greet you. My kids have lots of fun at the child care center and my children love going there. Before kids I belonged to many gyms that weren't as clean and well designed. In my book it is perfect! I've been in classes in the day, night and weekends and have had no issues whatsoever. I use the ladies gym all the time.

After Another Semi-daily Meeting With A Desk Perso
After another semi-daily meeting with a desk person to log in broken equipment, I was simply told that the person in charge of repairs just isn't good at his job. When I tried to talk to management, no one could find her. I sent two emails which I never received a response to. One of those emails was in regard to stopping my contract, but I didnt get a responce.

Overall Golds Gym Lawrenceville Is A Pretty Good P
Overall Golds Gym Lawrenceville is a pretty good place to train. The floor plan is pretty well laid out, the staff is fairly friendly, and there is plenty of cardio equipment and exercise classes. The Gym's shortcomings include a very small free weight area, equipment that is frequently broken, missing pins, and some general "knuckleheadedness" of some of the membership (but not as bad as some other gyms I have been to)
After Being Suckered Into A Contract Of One Year W
After being suckered into a contract of one year with them, I made the most of it for the period. After one year, you can imagine I was ready to bail from this overcrowded, under-equipped sorry excuse for a gym. So I cancelled my membership, and they told me that my cancellation was effective immediately. Unbelievable, I paid for the entire month, and couldn't use the gym for two weeks of what I paid for. I was told if I cancelled any later, they would charge me for the following month as well. I left, saying good riddance and that would be the end of it...right? Nope, you guessed it, they went ahead and charged me for the following month anyhow. Talking to affected staff produced nil, so I had to get my credit card company to handle it. Absolutely the worst Gold's Gym I've ever been to, the absolute worst/unfriendly customer service (they all clearly act and look as if they are being paid 4 cents an hour to be there), and the poorest excuse for a billing department in the western hemisphere. Stay far far away.
