The Santa Cruz Juliana Is Essentially A Superlight
The Santa Cruz Juliana is essentially a Superlight with a women's specific finishing kit (narrower bars etc) and different stickers.
The single pivot design is really low maintenance which means that there are 2 parts of the frame that need replacing when it wears; the main bearing and the bushes that attach the rear shock to the frame. Neither of these is a major job and my BF did the main bearing for me (he needed a special tool to push out the bush on the shock so the local shop did that in a couple of mins). For what I used it for (everything from XC to 'free ride' in the Alps) it was superb. If I was being super picky, I would prefer a little bit more bottom bracket clearance but that's more to do with my improvement as a rider than the bike design.
If you can afford to get one, put some descent forks on it and a womens specfic saddle (I used a Specialized one) and you will certainly get a lot of grins out of this bike.
