Best Buy

I have bought this bike 2007 in a Decathlon sellout in Hungary.

Practically the main reason I selected was the frame size, there was an XL size on stock, and as I am 195cm tall, it looked fine for me.

It was slightly under 400 EUR. Itis kind of best buy.

This bike is excellent, very reliable and comfortable.

The 24 gears cover a wide range for all terrains.

Alu frame is strong and the bike itself is not heavy, considering the appliances.

Wheels and rims, brake are excellent.

The dynamo is great, once you replace the lamps to better ones, it produces enough current even at slow speed.

There are two negatives:-Stock real lamp is a cheap and unreliable thing, I had to replace it to a better model.-Gear changing could be more smooth, has to be re-adjusted relatively frequently.

But the bike is a best buy for its price, overall its performance is comparable with more expensive models.

Bought The Triban Trail 7 And A Coyote Nevada To A

Bought the Triban Trail 7 and a Coyote Nevada to add to my 1970's Dawes tourer. On paper it has lower specs than the Nevada and was £70 cheaper. It also felt a little heavy, but this is to be expected with all the kit. This is the default bike that I turn to when I think about going for a ride. It is the only bike I have ever owned that is maintenance-free after five months of decent mileage. The gearing is solid and smooth (the only underperformer is the front shifter which could do with upgrading to SRAM X4 or 5).

The bike comes with everything you would need to do a daily commute bar the bags and is outstanding value for money.

B Twin Triban 7 From Decathlons Stockport Store. A

B Twin Triban 7 from Decathlons Stockport store. Adjustable front suspension forks with a lock out facility, dyno front hub runs your lights and the rear light stays on for 4 minutes to keep you safe whilst stopped at junctions, 24 gears with a good top speed, aluminium frame and all that for under £300. I was a little concerned when I bought this bike as it all seemed to good to be true but I am pleasently surprised with the ride and mechanics of this bike it has made my 6.5 mile ride to work enjoyable (other than the weather)I bought this bike for mainly road commuting to and from work but have found that I am going out for pleasure rides on a regular basis, overall excellent value for money and I am very happy with this cycle.
