I only bought my Sony Ericsson Txt last year. I thought 'a blackberry clone with an easier to use directional pad is perfect for me!' and that was pretty much all i got, except without the 'Smart phone' status as this phone appears to have about the same internal workings as the Nokia 3410. This didn't worry me though as i just needed something that can call people and be used to text easily. After about a month or so in to using it the phones online compatibility seemed to shut off… Read Full Review

Sony Ericsson Txt

The Sony Ericsson Txt is a feature phone that looks a lot like a smart phone. This device features a full sized keyboard that makes text messaging a breeze! This phone is very lightweight and simple to use. It is a rather inexpensive candy bar style phone with 320x240 pixels of resolution. The battery is capable of 3.2 hours of talk time and the phone features scratch resistant glass. Other features of this device are: 3.2 megapixel camera, video camera, music recognition, FM radio, Obigo Q7 internet browser, voice recorder, and 100 MB of built in storage. The device also has built in social networking applications such as Twitter and Facebook.

The Sony Ericsson Txt has many mixed reviews, but most of the reviews at PC World are negative. People had to say that this phone had extremely slow internet browsing, the camera quality was very low and lacks auto focus, and it lacks GPS. Users of this phone on Digital versus say that it is very poorly made, and made from very cheap plastic, and does not appear to be very durable at all. The keys on the keypad are very stiff, which makes it hard to send text messages. People also do not like that the Sony Ericsson Txt does not have any third party applications, is not a touch screen device, and does not have 3G. Some good things about the phone are that it is easy to use, simple, and inexpensive. People also really enjoy that this device has built in social networking applications which makes it easy for them to keep up to date with their closest friends and family members.

Overall, with the Sony Ericsson Txt, it seems like users get what they pay for. It is a very basic device with extremely limited features. It is not very durable and does not have a long battery life. Users cannot download third party applications and because the device does not have 3G, browsing the internet can be a hassle. For people who are looking for a very simple phone that is designed with text messaging in mind, this can be a great phone for you.
