Samsung Galaxy Europa i5500

Samsung’s Galaxy Europa i5500 is the latest product from Samsung. It has been produced to make it affordable to users who have not a lot of money to spend on smartphones. Users who have purchased this phone found the Europa to be very similar to another Samsung’s product, ‘Genio Touch.’ It has the same design features although the Europa appears to be more professional with its glossy black finish. It appears to be sturdier and the battery cover is easy to put back in place.

At TechRadar they liked the fact there is a micro USB slot which is used for charging the phone and for synchronising. One will find the phone has a home menu, and search buttons. The buttons are physical buttons so for those users who don’t like touch buttons this is ideal.

The only negative point the users found with the camera, was there is no camera button so if you like to use the camera you need to use the main menu home screen shortcut. This isn’t really ideal if you want to take photographs on the spur of the moment. Yet, the camera quality is very good as is the video. They liked the screen’s resolution at 240 x 320 pixels. They were happy with the display as it is responsive and one can easily access the hyperlinks in the browsers.

The only downside of this phone that users found is that the text looks blurry even when one zooms to look at the text on a webpage. The keyboard is laid out in QWERTY when you use it in landscape mode. There are also a lot of buttons which seems to ruin the slick look. Multiple texting can be a problem, and several uses have found the battery life to be fairly short. They have also found the alarm clock to be unreliable, as the clock fails to update during the night, it only updates when the phone is manually turned on. However for the price the phone users have noted that it is deemed to be a brilliant little phone packed with Android features.
