Had to have a torch as it was a works mobile. THe most over engineered piece of rubbish I have ever had the missfortune of owning. Everything about it is wrong look, functionality, you name it Anyone who is even considering buying one needs to be sectioned. Blackberry deserve to go bust for thinking that releasing a phone like that to market was remotely acceptable. Get yerself a Galaxy S3 now thats a mobile

Blackberry Torch 9810

Consumers at TechRadar gave the BlackBerry Torch 9810 an average rating of 3.5/5. They complained about the absence of a flash internet and NFC, and that the music loudspeaker is poor compared to the Bold 9900. They were all excited about the improved battery life and the onscreen keyboard. The screen size has not increased from what it was with the original Torch 9800, it is still 3.2 inches, but the resolution has been increased from HVGA 480 x 360 to VGA 640 x 480. With this new resolution, texts are alot sharper.

They were happy that the internal storage memory has been doubled to 8GB, and that there is now more room for memory card. It can now take up to 32GB Micro SD memory card. The processor now clocks in at 1.2GHz having been turbo charged. The plain dark and black chrome fascia has been replaced with a brushed metal and the rear is now silver to make it shinier.

Reviewers at Pocket Lint gave the Blackberry Torch 9810 2.5 out of 5 rating. They were not impressed with the operating system. Although they concluded that the browser has improved, they believe that it is still way below what is obtained in other smartphones. There was also some complaints that the screen is not as sensitive as it should be.

The increase in screen resolution was seen as an improvement because is made it sharper than the Blackberry Torch 9800, but consumers demanded a higher definition displays to bring in more sharpness. The biggest complaint was about the stability. It freezes regularly and pages refuse to load. The phone becomes unresponsive, and one will have to do the normal thing with Blackberrys, pull out the battery.

There was a general consensus that the Blackberry Torch 9810 retains the powerful and convenient BB email system. The speed and the ease of communicating via BB torch 9810 email were even called fantastic by some consumers. At Crackberry, the conclusion is that the new Blackberry Torch is not much different from the Blackberry Torch 9800, and that you may feel cheated if you are looking for an upgrade. Consumers saw the newly improved 1.2GHz processor as a welcome relief. The 768MB of RAM and the Blackberry 7 software all joined together to give a browsing experience that has never been imagined before.
