Well, It's A Traditional Christmas Song Already. I
Well, it's a traditional Christmas song already. I bought this back in 1987 I think it was, and it gets better and more relevant every time I hear it. Miles better than Slade! In my opinion, The Pogues, Fairytale of New York is the best Christmas record ever. Christmas wouldn't be the same without it. Buy it, and discover The Pogues, the perfect antidote to The Ministry of Sound (and I like dance music!). I saw them in the late 80's - I'm amazed Shane's still alive. Poet, genius, second only to Elvis, musical master, keep an open (musical) mind, and I'm sure you'll come to appreciate their these days relatively unfashionable music. Buy it and erm, keep it real as they say!

The Pogues, Fairytale of New York is a really good Christmas tune and it really gets you into the Christmas spirit, and because of the sad loss of Kirsty McColl, I think it should get to number one for Kirsty! I'm going to buy it!!!

It Really Doesn't Get More Sublime Than The Pogues
It really doesn't get more sublime than The Pogues, Fairytale of New York - easily the best christmas record ever. I intend to buy about 40 copies because this is easily the greatest ever Christmas song and by the way, its been put back a week to the 19th December for Release - the day after the 5th Anniversary of Kirsty's untimely death. I urge everyone here to buy the single - please. Its just awesome.

The Pogues, Fairytale of New York has been re-released for this year and I will be the first one in the queue at my local HMV to buy it. I prey to high heaven that this is the Xmas number one this year because it's brilliant and has the 'Christmassy factor' - yes Christmassy is a made up word.
Good on The Pogues for bringing this out once more and if there's a modicum of justice they will be the Christmas Number One this year.

Please put this mistake down to the site admin (me), as it was I who added the song to the site under the incorrect name. The original reviewer's work would have been ammended by a moderator to include the title put in my by myself.
