"great rail journeys" brought us here to the "Jungfrau Express in Winter". rail all the way from Waterloo station ,London, via France and returning via France Brussels and Cologne.
Baggage was handled by us at everystop (38 trains were ridden on )which was really unacceptable for a holiday costing over £1200 each (9 days)
The excursions were quite good, but the prices in Switzerland made my eyes water.
In a small cafe, four toasted sandwiches and coffee came to over £29.
If I went again I would fly out there and make my own excursion arrangements as the Swiss rail runs bang on time and is very clean. Swiss people are friendly and everyone can understand you. Scenery is terrific eveywhere.
