“This Peugeot Jetforce 125 is perfect ... if it works.”

written by MalloryO'Neal450 on 15/06/2014

I recently bought a 2003 model, because it looked interesting and different. I've had the bike for 6 weeks and ridden it about 2 hours. Unfortunately buying a discontinued biked the spare parts are extremely expensive. But the handling is good as well as an impressive mid-range.I hope its a collectors item one day with the amount I've spent on it. Had a strange problem to which the engine works and revs but, the wheel does not move (help please anyone)?

I bought my 125cc jetforce about 4 days ago and am not pleased with the performance it barely touches 50mph and backfires constantly. I can't imagine the fuel consumption to be good either because the bike dusnt move till about 5000 rpm because of its weight. I have to admit it looks great but if it continues like this i am looking on getting rid soon as!!

The Peugeot Jetforce 125 is the coolest looking and fastest scooter around, and is very economical. I have not needed any repairs or had any problems at all. It easily keeps up with the traffic in the 80km/h zone, unklike most other scooters. I bought mine 2nd hand, so it wasn't too expensive, happy to recommend this, I give it 5 stars.

I have a Peugot JetForce 125, which was good until it went wrong and after reading many reviews it seems a common problem. It only has 3378 miles on the clock! I am a mechanic, can anyone tell me what is wrong with it - starts, runs, but will not accelerate - seems like the choke is on. I know that it is Fuel Injection - has anyone fixed one of these themselves?
PS If i had known what these were like before, i would not have bought one!

There is nothing wrong with Peugeot jetforce , Do the following:
Start the engine, and leave it 5 minutes then accelerate when you hear the engine sounds different. Do NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE.
Jetforce was designed like a car.

Peugeot Jetforce 125 looks cool, but has several malfunctions that are expensive to repair.

To be fair, it's my first scooter so I may be biased : I have no idea hoy much it costs to repair other scooters. But so far I spent roughly 800 swiss francs in 15 months, for a total purchase price of 1800 (used) so it feels expensive. On the other hand, I have been giving it a rough use: some 15 km per day, with REALLY steep slopes, so it is partly my fault.

The Peugeot Jetforce 125 is very fast and gets you away a lot quicker than cars. It's looks are very good, great for in the city and even touring. I just recently purchased a 2008 peugeot jet force 125 abs efi.I've been really impressed by it's performance as it can certainly shift! I can see a lot of negativity on here but hopefully I don't have too much bother with mine?! Does seem to vibrate quite a lot, can't change kmph into mph on the dials, quite a heavy scooter and cant find much info on the internet regarding them.

“I bought my Peugeot Jetforce 125 05 plate moped second...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by gethin on 22/02/2009

I bought my Peugeot Jetforce 125 05 plate moped second hand for £1,400. Initially the bike ran smoothly, but after about 3 months serious problems started to occur. The engine started pulsing, which eventually was attributed to a blocked air filter. Just to replace the part cost £120 on its own, plus the labour. Next to fail, about 2 weeks later were the electrics. the bike wouldn't start and there was no read-out on the electronic display. yet another week in the garage being repaired. Next was the shock absorber. Again not cheap. Two weeks later the generator went, costing a further £270 to fix. Another 2 weeks later, the exhaust fell off whilst riding. Also the automatic seat raiser broke, meaning that I then had to manually raise the seat. the brakes then started to make unusual sounds when riding, and the pulsing engine problem returned in earnest. In short I spent a total of about £850 mending the bike in a period of 7 months. There were further problems looming too, when I just got rid. This is an utterly awful bike. The reliability and build quality are shocking.
