Honda EU1000i

Thee Honda EU1000i generators are wonderful units when they work, but if you have to have them serviced or attempt to have warranty coverage... forget it!

The warranty program from Honda is worthless.

I recently purchased eight of these little generators for a small seasonal business. Several of the units leak oil after running for a long period of time (six or more hours). One of the generators began knocking after 1 week of use. I brought it in for repair, and after sitting at the shop for 3 months and spending $225 dollars the generator was fixed.

I spoke with Honda several times and they claimed it was not covered by the warranty.

I love the size and minimal sound of the unit, however I dislike the way Honda deals with the problems with the generator units.
