“Exomax”

Written on: 19/11/2013

The exomax is the baddest crossbow out there I have killed several white tails with mine anywhere from 10 to50 yards deadly accurate I always get a clean pass through. If I had any complain I wish it where a little lighter. But it is built like a tank. I dropped mine 30 ft out of a tree stand went and picked it up and shot it still dead on!! Very durable crossbow… Read Full Review

“Nice bow but...”

Written on: 01/05/2013

very loud compared to the new compound xbows on the market, It also does not have the speed for the draw weight of the new bows. I will give it this.. they are very light so if you need a light crossbow and don't like compound xbows then maybe this is for you. As for the price WAY out of sight I mean come on this bow should be sold for $300.00US then it would be a good deal. not happy with my purchase and returned it to the shop and got me a Barnett on the way. They seem to be taking over the… Read Full Review

Anybody who doesn't rate this crossbow high, obviously doesn't know how to hunt with a bow or crossbow. If bow has problems I'm sure that it would be covered in it's warranty. I can't wait to use this on the local big Canadian deer… Read Full Review

it is a good bow, a lot of people are switching oto compound xbows because of their added power and speed with the cams. just IMO if your out for deer this bow will suit ya just fine!

The sheer size and very large limb width, make it very difficult to walk with and almost impossible to fire from behind a 'blind'.
Not a very practical hunting tool.

Written on: 13/06/2008

Incredible hunting machine. I have shot plenty. All shots are clean through. The farthest was 65 yards. I had practiced extensively at various distances from 20 to 75 yards and I know exactly where it shoots. In the scope there is a 50 yard arrow and I held it flush with the top of the target. I pulled the trigger and the arrow went clean through… Read Full Review

“The Excaliber Exomax is a TOP of the LINE crossbow, If...”

Written on: 05/11/2005 by Xbowshooter (1 review written)

The Excaliber Exomax is a TOP of the LINE crossbow, If you shop around you can get the price down to about $455.00. Get the rope cocking device, it cuts the pull in half. They say don't hunt with a crossbow at more than 35 yards! Who are they? Go shoot this bow for one day, after that you will know what they don't! This kind of speed can add 15 yards. I can now take my shot up to 50 yards to get my game. I have 3 older Barnett bows and they don't stand close to what this one can do! A VERY FAST… Read Full Review

Wwwilson375's Response to Xbowshooter's Review

I found this review helpful because... I agree with xbowshooter. This is not a cheap bow, but it's very accurate out to 50 yds. at least - and shoot it with the fiber optic sites, no scope.

I've never seen them at $455, near $600 and some (for the basic bow). Really poor value for money. Get real, They are just a status symbol. You can buy better value with Chace Star2008 kit, which performs a little better out to 100 yards (3-4 inch groups easily) and beyond and quality made to last a life-time. Everything in the kit (scope, cocker, stringer, quiver, arrows, etc.) for less than $400. now that's real value for money for such a fantastic performer. Read the reviews.
