“Melted plastic.”

Written on: 04/09/2017 by MelaniePratt (1 review written)

Horrible. Used as directed but hair was not removed well, did not hold heat well to retain consistency and ended up in a huge mess of wasted "wax" strips after removal. Used up more than half the container on lower legs and will still have to shave to remove the left over hair… Read Full Review

“Works well on bikini ”

Written on: 08/04/2014 by Krazygal (1 review written)

I have been using this product to wax my bikini/brazillian. It works amazingly. It's less painful than the salon which is a plus because I felt as if I had to be drunk in order to have a brazillian wax done. It does not leave my skin red nor does it cause those pesky red bumps. However it totally sucks for upper lip hair and chin hair. Tried it, didn't remove a single hair. I really think this product should be marketed as a bikini wax. I would recommend tho ladies that if you are going to wax… Read Full Review

“Try it-it's awesome.”

Written on: 14/07/2013

I love this product. It is so much easier to use than old fashioned wax or the sugar formulas. Cire divine doesn't adhere to skin the way wax does - so it doesn't hurt as much. I can even talk on the phone during waxing- no cussing issues. The smell is okay. Because it's not water soluble, it's tricky to clean up a microwave spill, which has happened only once in 7 years. I try other products periodically, but always come back to this one. All waxing products stick to gel nails or… Read Full Review

“works pretty good!”

Written on: 14/07/2012

I have pretty thick leg (and underarm) hair (AND I HATE IT!) and I found this product to work really well. What I found is, the longer the hair, the better it works. Even though it kinda sucks to leave my hair growing in the summer to get it to a good length. And yes, there is only one wooden applicator, but what I do is, as soon as I've heated the wax, I dip the applicator in for a bit and it melts all the wax on the applicator and you can scrape most of it off and back into the tub! :) And… Read Full Review

“Please don't buy this product, girls!”

Written on: 10/07/2012 by tomo1296 (1 review written)

This isn't the worst product on the market. Nevertheless, I think this product is a complete waste of time and money. I don't understand why it's on the market. I followed all the instructions, but once I got to the point of actually putting it onto my skin (making sure that the wax wasn't too hot for me), I was unable to remove it after the recommended 20 seconds. I also had clear nail polish on, and trying to remove the wax from the portion I applied to as well as from my hands was not a… Read Full Review

“Love this product!”

Written on: 13/11/2011

I'm so surprised to see all the bad reviews about this product. It works great on me even with ''shortish'' hair. The was pulls off great when left to cool on the skin for the recomended 20 seconds. My hair is not that coarse but I haven't had to touch up any spots and my sensitive and dry skin responded well to this product. At last, I picked the tahitian gardenia scent and it smells fine, not too strong. After doing my 2 legs, there is still more than half of the jar left. I would… Read Full Review

“I thought the wax was great. I've used the strip wax...”

Written on: 31/03/2011

I thought the wax was great. I've used the strip wax before, and I have to say that hot wax is much better. I waxed my underarms today and I got all of the hair off easily. I used it on my legs and I got the the same great result. It's definitely worth the money, and I've still got 3/4 of the tub left! One thing that kind of irks me is that there's only one wooden applicator, and the wax sticks to the applicator no matter how much I try to pull it off. Other than that, the wax is great!… Read Full Review

Written on: 06/11/2010

OMG - so disappointed. I am quite concerned at to what chemicals I am actually putting on my body. There is a definite smell and consistency which is reminiscent of melted plastic. I would hold my breath as to what they define as wax. I have waxed every waxable part of my body at home for around 20 years. I would definately not use this product again and question its ingredients and whether it is safe to use on the skin. Feels and looks like you are spreading a melted barbie doll on your skin… Read Full Review

Written on: 06/07/2010

I can't believe all the bad reviews on here! I was so excited to have found this wax, tried it out, and loved it! I have used all kids of wax and the last year had given up as it was too much of a hassle for the time it took. I find if you read the instructions on this, it works perfectly. I've used it on my arms, legs, bikini line and even on my upper lip. It takes a bit of getting used to (messy til you get the hang of it), but apart from that it's great. I haven't had to go over any… Read Full Review

“I must say that this wax is not all good but not all...”

Written on: 03/07/2010

I must say that this wax is not all good but not all bad either. i used this type of wax before but with another brand. The good thing is that I can reuse the same wax again by reheating it. So i can reuse this basically forever. The ba thing about this is the wax which hardens on the spatula. It's almost impossible to remove it. So it can be a little messy in that sens. As for the use of this wax, just read the instrution carefully. You shouldn't leave the wax too long on yoru skin. You apply… Read Full Review

“I've just been waxing my legs for an hour with this...”

Written on: 22/06/2010

I've just been waxing my legs for an hour with this stuff and it hasn't visibly removed any hair. I let the hair grow to the required length and followed the instructions exactly but it just hasn't worked. When I inspect the wax strips after I have pulled them off there is 0-3 hairs instead of the usual even layer.

I have waxed my legs a number of times, I normally use strips but was recommended that I go for hot waxing as it isn't as painful... in this case this is true as none of the hairs… Read Full Review

“I've never reviewed a product before but I disliked...”

Written on: 01/05/2010

I've never reviewed a product before but I disliked Nair Cire Divine so much I had to warn other users to save their money!

First of all, I am an experienced waxer. I've waxed my legs, underarms and bikini line before. I used Nair Cire Divine on my lower legs. The process was messy, much more time consuming than waxing with cloths and the product did not remove the hair very well. I constantly had to go over spots. I ended up using the whole tub just on my lower legs and it took me 1.5 hours… Read Full Review

Written on: 09/08/2009

I tried it more than once did eveything according to instructions and Nair Cire Divine is by far the worst thing I have ever used....it became like solid plastic on my skin and the removal was horrendous. Its dangerous and I can't believe it is on the market.
I had to rub baby oil to peel the chunks off and the cooler it got the harder to remove. Its like taking plastic melting it on your skin and then trying to peel it off!
Please stay away from this product, there are better things out… Read Full Review

Written on: 30/07/2009

Although I had a rough start with Nair Cire Divine, I did end up liking it. The container was NOT microwavable in my particular microwave so I used an older one which worked perfectly fine. I found that the wax was very picky about how you heated it and that it was very stringy if not done perfectly. It was very messy but I felt barely a pinch when removing it and it got most of the hair off the first try. Keeping in mind I've never waxed before, it was really easy to use (once I had my… Read Full Review

Written on: 12/07/2009

Wow, I was surprised to see so many bad reviews of Nair Cire Divine. I admit that I had never seen a commercial for it. My favorite wax has always been hot wax, the kind I watched my mother heat in little a little metal dish on the stove when I was a little girl. My comparison is thus with these kind of waxes… Read Full Review

“When my favourite product (Nair no heat roll-on wax)...”

Written on: 25/06/2009

When my favourite product (Nair no heat roll-on wax) was discontinued I had to shift myself to look for another wax that would work on my sensitive skin. When I first saw the Nair Cire Divine commercial I thought it looked fancy and tried it out. It was one of the most painful experiences I have ever had in my life. After the gritting pain barely any hair was removed! Let me assure you I have given this product more than just one chance. I used it when I had long growing hair and short stubs… Read Full Review
