I love Maybelline Superstay Lip Color. This shade is extremely pretty for party wear. It Has a super nice applicator and is watery inconsistency. Not drying on the lips at all. This is a very comfortable wear product.

I purchased the Superstay Magbelline lip color #705 and I absolutely love it. It especially works if you are over 40 because it won't bleed into the fine lines around the mouth. I used it on a snorkeling vacation and it worked great! I absolutely love this product! Only problem is that they have now changed the number of the color and I don't know which number corresponds to the new ones they just released.

This is more like a love hate relationship with this lipstick lol, well first of all i love the colour and it does last longer than any other lipstick ive tried and i do seem to keep on going back to buy this lipstick all the time but the bad things about it is it does dry ur lips out if you dont keep on using the balm through out the day so make sure you dont forget to put the balm in your handbag cause it can get tricky and the other problem i have is that the lipstick tube last for ages but the balm runs out far too quickly and i have to keep on buying one sometimes weekly and just for the balm is very expensive,i did try to cheat and put vaseline on top and other cheap balms but dont be fooled it dont work haa but ive got to admit i do love it .

Once applied it immediately dried out my lips and made it look flaky. Will definately never reccomend this product to anyone.

Fantastic, will buy this again. Really stays on and I like the colour.

As far as lip colors go, this is very decent. I liked the tint of the color and how only some colors have sparkle (not a fan of sparkly lipstick).
Pros: Stays on decent, can drink/eat without wear, has moisture stick
Cons: not many colors, begins to flake after a few hours (but then you can put more on and it looks fine)

The Superstay Lip color has a good applicator once you get a little practice with it. The colors are okay, and work best when close to your own skin tone. If you use a bright or deep color- you have to still be a little careful with it.
These are great for lip color when skiing, or during sweaty exercise- just apply it to clean dry lips and let it dry all the way. A second light coat may or may not work, it usually works for me but sometimes it will result in color peeling off in spots... :-(
Regarding troubles removing this product: Chap stick or regular moisturizing lipstick will soften and halp remove the lip color- just leave the chapstick or regular lipstick or gloss on for a little while. Gently remove, scrub very gently with a tissue or q-tip soaked in baby oil or veggy oil, then blot dry, and repeat if necessary.
I like using regular lipstick in a similar shade to remove these 'paint-like' colors- it is easy, looks fine and is very gentle. Just apply it about an hour before you want to remove the super stay lip color and then wipe.
Vodka (or other grain spirit, i would assume) works fairly well, and is great for softening it up or touching up after the first method.
As a dead last resort, a q-tip lightly moistened with acetone will remove the color- but this is asking for dry lips and solvent toxicity, so do this ONLY as a last resort, and go LIGHTLY on the acetone and of course wash your mouth out afterwards. If you have to go this far, you probably should not use this product in the first place though.

Absolutely rubbish!!!! I tested this product on my hands and believe me the hands tell a completely different story to the lips. I was so excited to use it on my lips but really very disappointed when I did. I've tried to use it every way possible, i.e. colour 1st then balm, balm 1st then colour, balm colour balm, my own balm but the results were same. My lips dried sooo much and the colour was flaking off. I had bits all over my lips. 1st and last time I would be using maybelline! Very disappointing

I didn't care for the color of maybelline superstay lip colour, looked good in the tube but, not on me and I don't like the feel it's sticky.

lOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Color is very true to what it looks like in the tube. You can apply two coats for a deeper color. Just make sure you let it dry all the way FYI shouldn't be tacky on your lips once its completley dry about 1-3 min depending on how thick you coat it. You will need to use the balm it comes with it to keep your lips from drying out. I really didn't have a problem removing it like some other reviewers noted, although heres a tip A)makeup remover (DUH!) or B)a chapstick like carmex or blistex thick layer let it set for a min and you should be able to wipe it off with a tissue. I'll be buying Maybelline Superstay Lip Color again, <3 it!!

I regularly buy 795-sienna Maybelline Superstay Lip Color and love it. My skin is medium so it gives me a very nice natural flush of colour. I took me a few tries to perfect the application. I found the opening on the applicator too big, it allows too much product on the spongy tip. I always drag the excess off the applicator tip before applying. That way you get a natural light application, rather than cakey and dry. You MUST allow the drying time before the conditioning coat or it won't last and will become uneven. The base color lasts all day and evening, only re-applying the conditioner a few times to soften and gloss.

Love it, love it, love it!!!! I apply 2 coats in the morning (apply color 1 time, let dry, apply 2nd time lightly, let dry then apply clear) and it literally lasts all day long. I just apply the clear throughout the day and never have to apply color again. Maybelline Superstay Lip Color is amazing! I am so glad that I found this product. Oh and the replaceable clear is a brilliant idea. I can just slide one of the replacements in my pocket and my lip color is good for the whole day.

Maybelline Superstay Lip Color turns crusty and hard within 5 minutes. does not make my lips look good at all its gross
written by Beccybean on 24/05/2009
I'm a red lipstick girl and tend to avoid glosses as they never stay on for long. I bought the Maybelline Superstay Lip Color bright red one and used it for the first time this Friday night and all day Saturday. On Friday I don't think I let it dry properly (i.e. for the full 2 minutes) as I was in a rush to get out, and the colour was good but not as good as my usual lipstick. On Saturday I gave it the full drying time before putting the balm over it midmorning. I then had lunch and drinks with family, ate a sandwich before going out for more drinks, then ate a curry at the end of the evening and my lips were still a bright even red (had used the balm a few times throughout day).
I was very impressed!

Colour chart very inaccurate,
Maybelline Superstay Lip Color is very patchy to apply.need 2-3 applications which then dries lips out
only lasts for 3-4 hours if you are lucky

I have this Maybelline Superstay Lip Color in 'Perfect in Pink' which is a bright but soft pink, quite natural looking. It's easy to apply, doesn't go gooey or patchy like some others. It lasts a full work day but if I wanted to have the 'definitely wearing a truckload of make-up' look then I'd probably have to reapply towards the end of the day. I prefer to look naturally flushed/healthy so it suits me fine that it fades a little!
I love this product and would be lost without it, I don't bother with normal (non-long-last) lipsticks now I have this! I have only tried this one colour though.

Maybelline claims to have a remover for this lipstick, but I can't find it anywhere. After going to 1/2 dozen stores, I gave up.
Honestly, to get this Maybelline Superstay Lip Color lipstick off, you have to wear it for three days until it wears off by itself.
AWFUL!

Fantastastic product, I'm addicted, it stays on for a really long time and the most important thing for me was that it never smudges. Ever. Not when drinking coffee, or eating or even rubbing. You can just put it on and not worry about having it on your teeth after lunch. Color stays on, but does fade throughout the day, just reapply.

What n absolute load of rubbish. I've used this product since it was launched and wouldn't use anything else. Put on the colour, let it dry for 2 minutes and put on the balm. Unless you eat grey food it will stay on all day and WITHOUT needing to reapply balm, your lips will stay supple and moist. I am 60+ and if it's alright on my lips i cannot imagine what would cause it to do otherwise except perhaps incorrect use.
