“When we arrived at the Bahia our room wasnt ready and...”

written by Guuest on 16/01/2009

When we arrived at the Bahia our room wasnt ready and took about an hour. But when we saw our room we loved it and were all so excited! we didnt have a pool veiw but we had an amazing veiw of the sunset!! we were very pleased with our room.

The pool and hotel had an amazing atmosphere. when we arrived Pete Tong was DJing by the pool!! A few days later the Artful Dodger was Preforming at the poolside.

At night the staff are nicely laid back allowing people or party in thier rooms until morning with loud music and shouting. Who cares about sleep when you have all that going on!! The 24hr bar was just a bonus! Selling food all night! Only complaint would be the bar woman but have to say she provided entertainment!

The Bahia is in an awsome area, 10 minute walk to the first good bar, Linkekers. Then another lively 10 minute walk to west end, passing plenty of other bars and clubs including Eden and Es Paradis (my favourite). And its right on the beach, not a nice beach but it's a beach!

I would defentaly reccommend Bahia to anyone going to ibiza, its chill out in the day and lively at night, perfect! And the hotel and reps sort you out with tickets to all major events on the island (but i reccommend NOT to buy the reps package,)

I am returning to Ibiza this summer and defenatly going back to stay at the Bahia!!!!

I stayed here as my first holiday with my boyfriend and our mate without parents. It was amazing ! The food was excellent I would recomend the baked potato! Its out of this world! The staff were so polite and joined in our conversations which was nice as they spoke to us like relatives. The rooms were lovely although the room we stayed in, opposite us the balcony was a bit messy and our second last night the ceiling was leaking but that got fixed straight away. We only paid £350 for the week and its worth it! I would definitely go back here! Your so close to restaurants and the shops and a foot away from the beach!

All in all, I had a bang on holiday, the hotel was kept clean and tidy at all times. We couldn't knock the reps! Ibiza itself was out of this world, I would recommend the Bahia Aparthotel and San Antonio Bay to anyone, I will definitely be going back next year!

“We had read good reviews for this 4 star...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by estelle on 29/09/2006

We had read good reviews for this 4 star accommodation, and we have stayed in 4 star rated accommodation before, so we knew basically what to expect. First Choice were sent a fax asking if we could have a nice view. We booked a one bedroomed flat for just us two for a special touch of luxury. When we arrived after an early flight, tired and looking for our lovely hotel, we were dropped off some distance from the hotel. This would have been awful for anyone who was not able-bodied, because we had to drag our cases quite a distance over pavements, crossing roads etc. Not a problem for us, but something to consider, as the brochure doesn't point this first hurdle out. Arriving at the reception, hot a flustered, sweating and really wanting to get freshened up, we waiting our turn at reception. At our turn the receptionist got us to fill in the forms and copied our passports etc, then said, come back in two or three hours. There was no explanation or apology. When I asked why, he said that the room just wasn't ready until all midday keys had come in, then they had to get the rooms cleaned. They didn't tell us anything, just to go away and come back. Feeling rather rejected I asked for further information as to where we could put bags for security, and we placed them in a room and we went off to explore, but we were just too whacked to do much. Two hours later, we returned to the reception, he gave us a key, and I asked where the room was, he said he couldn't honour any requests and that the room probably looked over another hotel at the back. Well, I just wanted to go home on the next plane, and if it was possible, that's exactly what I would have done. We went up the elevator to a rather dirty carpeted area to our room. The floor was soaking wet and slippy for a few hours, as the maids had just soaked the floor and nothing else.

The balcony had only one chair, so my husband popped down to ask for another one. The receptionist said that it was end of season and the hotel would be closing in a few weeks, and lots of things were damaged, so the chair would not be arriving. We managed with the dining room chairs as there were only two of us in a one bedroomed apartment meant for 4. The fridge was so frozen up it was dripping, and there was the most basic of table wear. The mop, bucket and brush in the cupboard must have been used to mop up vomit, as the smell was awful, so we never used the kitchen other than to microwave hot water. I didn't feel it was clean enough to prepare anything in the kitchen area. The bed settee in the lounge was unusable as a seating area, as the cover was filthy and stained. We didn't see it was worth saying anything else to the hotel staff as we had already been told that it was end of season so tough luck! The pleasant surprise was that although on the side of the hotel, we still had a semi view of the bay, but looking down you could see the delivery area, but this wasn't a problem to us.

I feel it's a shame that firstly, there is no courtesy, customer care or caring for the paying guest at the Bahia. I would recommend that if you choose this apartment hotel, I would only rate it as a 2 star, and maybe choose the beginning of the season when everything is clean and in working order. I forgot to say that the hairdryer was broken in two places, so it didn't dry hair very well. We managed by wrapping shower caps around the tube.

“This was a off season cheapie holiday and we had a so...”

written by lellric on 10/10/2005

This was a off season cheapie holiday and we had a so called studio room, now I've stayed in studios before - one room to survive a week in but this was fantastic. Bahia Aparthotel was huge - a living/kitchen area with a fridge, combi grill/microwave oven and small hob, a big fully fitted bedroom and a large bathroom with bath/shower and hairdryer! We even had all those lovely little complimentry toiletries that you usually get in the bigger hotels. The whole apartment was absolutley spotless as was the entire hotel.
We also had a lovely spacious balcony as did all the rooms though the bigger rooms balconies were the size of a football pitch - huge!
Maid service was frequent but you were given a "do not disturb" sign to hang on your door if you wanted some peace.
Our kettle leaked dangerously and it was no trouble at all for reception to bring another straight to our room. The receptionists were freindly and helpful and great at giving you directions on where to catch buses and what to see and ordering taxis for you free of charge.
The only food we ate was a bar snack one afternoon and while it was tasty enough it was very similar to what you could get anywhere in the resort. We never ate in the restaurant but it looked lovely.
San Antonio Bay was your typical resort, plenty
to do,especially for the kids. In October the big clubs had all closed for the season but that suited us fine, there was still plenty of lovely bars and restaurants open and San Antonio itself is really pretty to wander around on an evening. This best bit for me though had to be the sunsets, there was nothing better than watching the sun going down in a nice bar listening to some chill out music, they were spectacular.
A fantastic holiday, a fantastic hotel.
The only fly in the ointment were the Spanish airport workers at Ibiza airport- very ignorant, I know the seasons been very busy but they counldn't even be bothered to speak to you so they just grunted and pointed instead, a little like you would to a dog - still, you can't have it all can you?
