I have been using Max Factor Lasting Performance base for years and years. It is the best drug store brand in the U.S. market. It provides incredibly natural coverage. No one can tell that I am wearing any foundation. Could someone PLEASE recommend a comparable product? Max Factor's Pan Stick is not at all similar.

I am shocked they discontinued this. Please, if anyone has information on how to order, or something that is comparable...please post the information. I have bought at least 5 different brands and they are not working for me. Help!!

I have been using this foundation for about five of six months now, and i dont not use it much, the foundation itself is fantastic and value for money. But and this is a big but i am very pale skinned and i own two shades of this foundation, neither of them work with my skin, one is too dark and the other seems to pink on my skin, i would love it if maxfactor came out with a wider range in colours. Although this is a common problem for me and i always have to mix my foundations. The smell is not plesant. it is best used with a foundation brush. Does not break me out.

I have been using Max Factor Lasting Performance 26 years. I have freckles and wanted to hide them as a teenager. I also never wanted to be seen without make-up on my face. I was a lifeguard and used this foundation everyday. Due to me wearing this particular foundation I believe I was able to save my skin. It had a sunscreen inside. That is not why I wore it, I just wanted great coverage. I am older now, and so thankful I wore this makeup. NOW, I am unable to find this at Wal-Mart or Target. I really don't know what I am going to do? I am hoping they are still making the foundation.

I also love this foundation and when I saw that Target and Walmart were no longer selling Max Factor, I did some research. The products were removed from the US market due to poor sales,so looks like we will have to pay more for it and more in shipping, too. I am VERY fair and Pale Ivory is the only color that matches my skin and gives me the coverage I like without looking like a mask.

Try Covegirl Nature Lux Line I believe they are the same

Has anyone found a "comparable" foundation? I can't imagine having to use an overseas supplier.

i've been using this Max Factor Lasting Performance foundation for over 10yrs i've tried others but always come back to it. It doesn't have the high slip like covergirl or others do (FYI slip aka the viscosity of the fluid, higher the "slip" the thinner the liquid). I would call this a full cover foundation, easy to put on just a little dap or build for flawless coverage. stays put all day doesn't melt or sweat off b/c its water based it won't cause breakouts like an oil based foundation will. Just know this is a synthetic foundation. Only downfall is they don't sell a color that suits me perfectly so i have to mix their #1 pale porcelain with the #4 fair ivory but the cost is well worth it since one tube last me about two months therfore the cost for two about $16 is a four month investment. it can be a little hard to find they stoped selling it at most drug stores but you can find it at Walmart or Ulta.

After 3 years of refusing to pay over £5 for a foundation, i finally got sick of having to apply it 3 times a day and with constant marks all over my clothes. I didn't want to go to clinque or anything on the expensive side of boots in my great town of Walsall
Maxfactor looked decent so i flopped over there and brought the Maxfactor Long lasting foundation in i think 106 the Natural Beige
i thought at the time that it was quite expensive however after using this product for a couple of months i've realised it was well worth the money
their is many pros for this foundation these being
1. it doesn't rub on my phone like my Rimmel foundation
2. it actually does last long mine lasts for the whole day if i put a layer of powder on top as well ( i use natural collection in warm not brillant but is ok)
3. it layers on really well, i put mine on with my hands because the heat of your hands warms up the foundation first and normally i only have to put one coat on with a few touch ups
4. the bottle is quite big so the foundation lasts long, again well worth the money
and lastly, it blends well and drys quickly, unlike my other foundations, especially rimmel and maybelline this foundation didn't leave a sticky finsh
o and if i fall to sleep with it on it doesn;t leave marks on my pillow
however there are a few cons-
1. the smell isn't the nicest, my boyfriend hates it but because its such a gd foundation its worth it, the powder usual covers up most of the smell
2. when i first used mine it was quite orange but thats my fault because i brought one shade too dark for my skin
overall this foundation is well worth the money and is my favourite that i have brought so far

i have been using max factor lasting performance for two years now, i have quite bad skin with my teenage acne and found this was the only foundation that covered it well without causing me to break out and stop my skin being able to breathe like other foundations i have tried. i would not use any other product, i use fair 100 as i am naturally pale however there is a good range of colours and after iv been on holiday i can still find a colour that matches my skin well. the foundation does last all day and after a long day at college i can come home to find my makeup still looking perfect. finding this foundation gave me a huge confidence boost and not many people i meet believe me when i say iv got acne as the makeup doesnt look heavy or cakey and still leaves my skin looking smooth and even. if this product was ever discontinued i would be absaloutly gutted, i could not live with out this in my make up bag.xxx

I've been using Max Factor Lasting Performance for years and I LOVE IT! Because the shades are either too light or too dark I tend to mix the lightest shade with a somewhat neutral to get the perfect shade.
It has amazing coverage and it's also very light on your skin. It last for a very long time up 24hrs that's for sure, it never rubs of on your clothes and it looks very natural with a flawless finish

All of the colors of the Max Factor Lasting Performance makeup appear to me to be flat, dull dead-like and yellowish colors...and, on the back of my hand, were pasty and very unattractive. I have been a user of Whipped Creme moisturizing creme (shimmering beige) for years and am extremely disappointed with what you have chosen as a "replacement". I have been a Max Factor customer for most of my adult life and my mother before me. I will not buy your current makeup and will search for a makeup to replace what you have replaced. Very unfortunate decision you have made...and I will always wonder WHY??

Max Factor Lasting Performance stays on all day
keeps face matte, keeps my face from getting oily
very easy to apply
covers well, without looking fake

Max Factor Lasting Performance is easy to apply and lasts a long time. It gives a very flawless look. Buy it

I currently use Max Factor so I'm writing from personal experience with acne and blemished skin. Good coverage, not 'cakey', easy application and long lasting. Bad point £9.50 per tube.

I use the 100 fair Max Factor Lasting Performance foundation, and I have to say it's the best foundation I've ever used. I used to use M.A.C., but found it stung my face a little, so now I use Max Factor, and it's also saving me money too. Wish it was a bigger bottle though.

I have used colour 109, beige bronze on my naturally pale face to match my more tanned body successfully for many years and can't find nothing better. I only use a very small amount after using a moisturiser so that it goes on and blends well. No makeup line if you take it beyond the jaw line, it covers all blemishes and tightens skin. It makes me look younger, is an excellent product. Don't ever take it off!

I've got very fair skin, and although I didn't want a foundation that's completely white, I want something that actually works for people with pale skin. I chose the Max Factor Lasting Performance foundation in the lightest shade (fair), and although it wasn't completely orange, it does leave a noticeable makeup line.
It covers fairly well, especially if you apply it with a brush, and it leaves your skin looking a lot smoother. Unlike some foundations, it didn't leave my skin with an odd shimmer; just a natural finish.
Although I used powder with it, it still seemed to be gone within about 3 hours or so, so I'd advise that you re-apply it.
It's definitely not the best foundation, but it's a lot better than some foundations I've used. I'd recommend it to someone with darker skin, or skin with pink undertones, as it would suit them a lot better.

I thought I'd try this Max Factor Lasting Performance due to my old foundation being discontinued. I have pale/ivory skin tone so I bought the palest shade they had 100 fair. I tried the tester in Boots but their lighting is so bright you can't really try the product properly till you buy and get home. So naturally the foundation, to my disappointment, was a little on the pinkish side, never the less I gave it a go. I liked the idea of Lasting Performance hoping it would last all day but alas it did not, in fact it lasted only several hours before my t-zone began to shine through, and the foundation began to look slightly chalky. I also found the foundation a little hard to apply, it felt slightly grainy, although it might just be my sensitive skin. It was easy to remove through a quick swipe with some make up remover and away it came. I wouldn't recommend to someone who has some flaws to hide, it didn't give much for coverage. I won't be buying it again. My hunt for the perfect foundation continues.

I only use Max Factor Lasting Performance. I have problem skin which needs to be evened out and I love this product, it stays matte all day and lasts forever. If you end up staying out and don't remove your make up before bed, you'll find it still perfectly in place in the morning just like it's been freshly applied!! The foundation dries quite quickly on the skin so you have to act quickly to blend it all in. I'd always recommend applying moisturiser prior to help with this.
I'd invest in a good exfoliating wash off cleanser to remove this product because if you use a gentle formula, it just won't budge. I use Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash as it always gets it off.
Great for oily or combination skin. Gives high, flawless coverage. Perfect.

I have bought Max Factor Lasting Performance twice (in soft beige), I bought it the second time mainly because it was the right colour and lasted all day, even on my oily skin. I also thought it was reasonably priced at approximately 8.99.
The foundation wasn't particularly easy to blend and was quite hard to get out of the bottle. It left my skin looking shiny, and so plenty of powder was needed. It also sunk into my pores around and on my nose, which are quite big and left me with small dots, which were hardly noticeable, but I was concious of them.
During the time I wore the foundation, people did say my skin looked good, and that I had a 'perfect' complextion, although my sister did say my face looked 'plastic' - NOT a good look!!
The foundation was quite hard to wash off and I had to really scrub my face whilst washing it.
I would recommend this foundation if you are looking for one that lasts all day, but use the tiniest amount needed and be prepared to use a lot of powder if you're after a matte complextion!

When I shop for foundations, the qualities that most stand out for me are smoothness, matte-ness and colour, however I have recently added long wear to the list due to my busy lifestyle.
I have been quite disappointed in the past by other brands, such as Revlon Colourstay, and Almay Amazing Lasting make-up that claims to stay on for 16 hours. None of them had tones that were light enough for my skin (I'm very pale). It's more frustrating when brands stock shades starting from 02, instead of 01 because they are American products, so what you may think is the lightest isn't actually the lightest shade at all.
However, when I checked out Max Factor Lasting Performance, I concluded that 100 Fair is the lightest shade in both countries, and decided to opt for it in my search for a long lasting foundation. It really is a good foundation! Not only does it stay put i.e. not come off easily on clothes or other people, but it smooths out skin texture, similar to what Hypersmooth did, and the thick texture aids blending.
My skin texture isn't so great, so this was an added bonus. In addition to this, it also provided good coverage, and the foundation is formulated with silicone's (similar to many high end foundations) and not oils, so it won't clog pores.
My only criticism of this foundation, and in fact most of the Max Factor range, is that many of the shades available tend to be warmer shades, i.e. suitable for those with pink undertones. I have more of a yellow undertone, so usually prefer neutral shades of foundation, which also tend to control redness and neutralise the skin tone. (L'Oreal do a good selection of neutral shades, however their foundations tend to be a bit chalky).
I would say that I would definitely buy this product again, but that this foundation is probably not for those with dry skin! In fact, many long wearing foundations tend to cause a 'matte' finish, rather than a dewy one, which older skins may favour.
If you have drier skin, I suggest you try Revlon Colourstay in Natural, providing you're not very fair like me, otherwise you don't have a chance!

Try the Cover Girl Natureluxe Line. Cover Girl bought Max Factor. I truly believe they are the same product
