Great Day Out
Took my grandson 7 and we both had a great day out and the sun was shining so it was busy there.
The staff were great very helpful and the cafe were brilliant and were coping with a huge number of visitors. The butterflies are beautiful and the meet cats amazing to watch. Well worth the money.

Great Day Out
We have just returned from our 4th visit this year with our nearly 3 year old and had another great day. Tropical Wings has a large 'Free Flying' Butterfly and Exotic bird house which also houses a huge Koi pond that has the biggest Koi I have ever seen (food available for 30p at reception to feed) Outside has many animals which our favorite is by far the wallabies which are very friendly and can be stroked and if visited at 1pm you can help feed them! lots of activities through the day, just pick up a leaflet at reception. The kids also will love the outdoor mini tractors and diggerland (both charged at £1) or huge outdoor play area with climbing frames, slides and sand pits. There is also a fantastic indoor soft play area (more suited to under 8's I would say) Tropical wings has very reasonable priced food and drink but also has picnic areas if you would prefer to take your own. ALL staff are very friendly and even the (retired!) owner took time out to talk to us today and got some interesting history of the place. A 'must visit' attraction that is even better in the summer months - see you again soon now we have our annual pass!

Nice Day Out For The Family
On a day that was filled with rain showers we headed off to Tropical Wings in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. If was my first visit and I went along with my young nieces and family.
I had no idea how big it would be and had just expected a couple of birds and possibly some reptiles. There is actually quite a lot of different animals.
We saw meerkats, otters, owls and kangaroos plus loads of insects and reptiles. My nieces loved walking around the butterfly house as they kept landing on them. I loved the otters and lemurs.
We were quite lucky and the rain stopped at times to allow us to properly explore outside and I think there was some shelter.
As per all other visitor attractions they also had a small shop for souvenirs (of course the kids loved this). As we headed there early in the day we didn't stop at their cafe for lunch so I have no idea if that's any good.
If you want somewhere local to amuse your family I'd recommend Tropical Wings Zoo. It was a nice way to spend a few hours.

Great For Young Children- Staff Are Helpful And Fr
Great for young children- staff are helpful and friendly- charges for entry and refreshments very reasonable . Chose to visit since costs at most centres are now prohibitive- was apprehensive due to lower charges but from entry onwards was delighted with all aspects - the enclosures with animals free to wander with visitors were excellent and the tropical jungle a delightful change. Will certainly visit again. Everything was immaculateky maintained with habd washes all over the place- plenty of seating for the elderly and several play areas for childrejn.

We Visited On A Sunday, Not Over Crowded But The W
We visited on a Sunday, not over crowded but the whether wasn't perfect. Compared to other wildlife parks the entry fee reasonable. The information given is excellent. The talks, feeding activities and raptor show informative and light-hearted. The butterfly house is fantastic
I would recommend this for a good afternoon out for a young family or for a couple who would like to pass the time of day

An Excellent Experience. Although We Have Lived I
An excellent experience. Although we have lived in Essex for over 30 years, we did not know of its existence until recommended by a friend. We didn't expect lions or tigers and the animals they have are delightful, as are the staff. It was great to be able to walk amongst the wallabies and other abimals.
They have an excellent cafe and the food was high quality.
We would definitely recommend Essex Tropical Wings World of Wildlife.

Can,t Belive Last Review! Had A Wonderful Day At T
Can,t belive last review! had a wonderful day at Tropical Wings World of Wildlife. Plenty of directional signs from my direction, and the smell was coming from the farm next to Tropical Wings so not there fault. The childrens rides were £1 (average price).
We found the staff very helpful and very informed (they were able to answer all the questions put to them by my grandson) and the feeding times and bird shows were very entertaining.

The Smell Of Silage Spoiled Our Visit And The Cost
The smell of silage spoiled our visit and the cost of the diggers and tractors lost the plce being value for money! The animals looked well looked after and the otters were cute. The toilets were clean and the shop reasonably priced. No brown signs to direct you to there. Felt overall Essex Tropical Wings World of Wildlife was an ok experience but the smell that was there on the day of the visit was too overpowering.
smell from farmland next door completely out of the control of Tropical wings

A Thoroughly Enjoyable Day Out For My Son. We Visi
A thoroughly enjoyable day out for my son. We visited having spotted Essex Tropical Wings World of Wildlife when driving by and it had a lot more than I was expecting. He loved everything we did, but his favourite part was feeding the wallabies, closely followed by driving the miniature tractors and operating the diggers. I thought it was good value for money and would definitely recommend it for a day out.
