I first used Bio Oil several years ago, and I wouldn't be without it! I do use other skin care products, but I'm never without Bio Oil-I keep a bottle of it at home, and a small one in my purse-It makes my skin instantly moisturized and soft, and you only need a small amt, esp when applied to damp clean skin-I mostly like to apply it to my face and neck at night-I do recommend it to everyone-if your skin is oily, use a lesser amt on damp skin and I actually bought some for a friend-I just turned 65yrs old, and my skin looks great with hardly a wrinkle-The price is good, and coupons are usually available for Bio Oil

I started using Bio Oil on my legs & saw a difference i have dry skin in winter & this really worked, always used L'Oreal on face, but took leap of faith & used Bio Oil!!! I still get spots at almost 60 if I use wrong product but I need not have worried, it has evened my skin tone, faded sun spots & skin feels soft. No breakouts or itching - Will use forever. I do exfoliate couple times week as well, this works for me I massage deeply into face every night I don't use in morning as it would be too much & don't need to skin still soft & healthy just splash with water then primer & make up Love the smell, only problem is so do my dogs!!! They lick my legs if they get a chance.

I have been using Bio Oil twice a day, every morning and every night for 10 months now. I see NO difference on my thigh stretch marks! I am so disappointed to have wasted all that money all these months!

This is the first time I have ever reviewed a beauty product - this is how much I love it! For years my skin would break out in spots as soon as I had managed to clear my skin and the texture of my skin has always been uneven. I was recommended to try this product on my face and was sceptical after reading mixed reviews online, however it has worked wonders for the skin on my face. After using it every night for the past 3-4 months (after washing and occasionally exfoliating with Dermalogica products which I also highly recommend) my skin has improved dramatically! It has completely evened out and got rid of my blemishes and I hardly ever get spots anymore! My skin feels smooth and silky and I have had compliments on my skin which I never did before. I hope this review id helpful - I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

I had a total knee replacement two and a half years ago. The skin on the scar was slightly folded at the top, which was unsightly. I used Bio Oil every night once the stitches had been removed. I noticed an improvement after one week. I used it nightly for two years, and am still using it once a week. I have used it on a scar I got years ago, and the scar is improving. It worked wonders for me, and I would definatly recommend it. I found the oil very easy to use once I didn't put too much on the palms of my hands. I gently massaged on to my knee and left the oil to do the rest.

I normally do not write reviews, but as I've told my friends, this is the best face product I have ever tried. I use it am and pm on face and neck. My skin is incredibly softer and has fewer signs of aging. I would definitely recommend Bio Oil for a more youthful appearance.

I tried this on my face and neck for three months. I have mature skin (55) which I have looked after over the years. I do have some minor blemishes on my face and it has had no effect whatsoever. It does not even feel moisturised. I have used it religiously twice a day on clean skin and to be honest I have had a better result from a decent night skin cream. It has also given me spots on my forehead (I last had them when I was 15). I will just stick to a skin brightner (amazing results) and night cream. Maybe this is better on stomach for stretch marks who knows, but as a facial moisturiser, hopeless!

I have been using bio oil for almost 3 years now, I LOVE this stuff.. I use it on my face at night only and under my eyes, it works wonders..It also is great for keeping the color in tattoos very bright, I put some on my back tattoo after tanning one day, and boy what a difference, I put a dab on all my tattoos twice a week when I wash up at night, Like I said I LOVE this stuf!!!! I was a little afraid to try oil on my face at first, I had oily skin as a teen, but in my 40's this stuff is just awesome!!!!!

Bio oil isn't offering miracles so when I used it to treat some quite aggressive marks on my stomach I wasn't expecting one. It's a brilliant moisturiser and definately improves skin, it by no means gets rid of stretch marks but it makes them a lot paler and because your skin texture is improved your skin appears plumped up :) absorbs well. My only dislike is the smell but you can't have it all :) Safe reliable product

Have you heard of Elicina? I haven't tried it but have read some pretty positive reviews! If you put 'Elicina review' into Google you'll find plenty of information on it :-)

Don't try to buy Elicina from Bohemia Style UK though, I just considered it until I read their absolutely abysmal reviews! Apparently the stuff comes from outside of the UK (which they don't make clear when you order), takes months to arrive (if it ever does) and is then subject to Customs Duty as well. You can buy it from Carter and Bond, I've ordered shaving stuff from them before and they're brilliant, they even send you a couple of free samples with your order :-)

I have been using Bio Oil for the past month, it was gathering dust in my cupboard. Have got to say I always use clinique/clarins face moisturiser. Was quite reluctant to use this as I was worried about putting oil on my face in case I had a bad breakout of spots. This has not happended.I am very pleasantly suprised by the results. Skin is definately smoother and fresher looking. Im not saying I look 10 years younger but it has most definately smoothed out fine lines. Also you dont have to use lots of it. It speads well over the face and smells really nice. Would most definately recommend also its not over expensive. I think it definately puts a lot of expensive face creams in the shade and does the job. On my days off from work I sometimes wear it during the day with no make up and if I have been out in the cold my face does not feel tight and dry as it normally would. I really like this product.

I bought Bio Oil as a last-resort recommendation from my mother. I grew quickly at the end of my teens, and the resulting curves also came with wide stretch marks over my thighs, hips and bottom. Id been told by the doctor to rub any oil into my skin, and it would lessen the appearance of them. After 4 months, It made my skin soft but didn't touch the stretch marks. They were still red & sore looking I bought Bio Oil from my local boots (£12 instead of £19 cause the box was a little squashed) and I LOVE the stuff. After 1 month, my 2cm wide red/purple angry looking marks are silvery white, and dramatically thinner. Whatever is in this stuff, it's amazing. It smells pleasant, doesn't feel too greasy, and delivers on it's promises. I'd recommend it to anyone! :-)

My daughter is in her last month of pregnancy. Two weeks ago I marvelled at her ever increasing 'bump ' and how wonderful her skin was. There was not a single blemish to be seen and only the slightest sign of stretch marks at the top of her legs. She had been using Cocoa butter cream;I gave her Bio oil to use. In 2weeks there are now stretch marks around her abdomen that are shocking and skin tone certainly not the same.I am deeply upset i gave Bio Oil to her. It's too vague whether it was to be used before or after pregnancy - preventative or cure.

I'm not pregnant, but have had bad stretch marks for as long as i can remember. When i found out about bio oil i was so excited that this could have helped, so i've been using it for about a month now but instead of helping me with the stretch marks, the existing ones look even worse and the ammount of stretch marks i actually have has doubled, i haven't been putting on weight or growing so i think there's something fishy about bio oil..

I have been using bio-oil for some time now it is ok, a bit greasy but it does make my skin soft. Not sure of the effect on scars time will tell I have been using for 2 months. I have excema and it irritates my skin very slightly when I apply it if my excema is bad. So the jury is still out . I do wonder if almond oil or any oil would have the same result.

Is Bio Oil safe in early pregnacy?? Bio Oil suggest it is and its easy to assume that it has been clinically tried and tested as it is marketed towards pregnant women. Based on my own experience and limited knowledge I don't believe it is safe to use in early pregancy. Anything used topically (on the skin) can be as dangerous as taking orally in early pregancy. Bio Oil contains vitamin A, well known to be dangerous in early pregnancy and can induce miscarriage. Other ingredients also have doubts about them such as lavender and camomile. Bio Oil have failed to respond to my queries and concerns. Bio Oil may or may not have contributed to my miscarriage but I wish I hadn't assumed it to be safe and checked before using it regularly in my pregnancy.

Some people have complained about the cheap packaging but I like the fact that it's simple, plain and does not use cheap psychological tricks to make people buy it. My chemist recommended it to me above all the pretentious, expensive 'anti-ageing' gloop produced by huge companies like Revlon and Elizabeth Arden. I trusted him as a clever, experienced and well educated man who bases his opinions on science. I have used Bio-oil for five years now and have no complaints; it does all that it claims to do and without the use of glossy marketing and lascivious pouting models.

I bought this product after having a wrist op about 4 months ago. To be honest I wasn't expecting much of a result, because the scar was very red and bumped up a lot, I knew that it would take time to dissapear. However, after using it for the reccommended amount, (twice a day), I have found that it has really worked.
I am sure that if I hadn't used bio oil on my scar, it would not have gone down as much as it has, and it would have looked a lot more noticable. The scars left from the stitches have now nearly completely gone, and the main scar is definately getting there. I also found that using the product on stretch marks was good, and made them less noticable too. It is a brilliant mousturiser too and sinks into the skin easily. I have also started using this product on my face to get rid of some red marks that have been left from spots. It is a versatile product, which has a lot more uses than I expected. Although the product is quite expensive for the amount you get in a tub, the tub will last a long time because it comes out in droplets.
I would reccommend this product to anyone that doesn't mind keeping up the routine of putting it on twice a day, because hopefully in the end the results will be worth it, they definately were for me.

I don't think it's ever claimed to be a facial moisturiser, it's for scars, stretch marks and age spots. If you want a moisturiser, get some dove..
