Bought a nighthawke black civic 2005 sport with all the extras tints spoiler upgraded 17 in honda penta alloys etc payed 3200 with 52k full honda service history back about 8 months ago now still love the car it's abit slow in the lower revs but once you push over 4000rpm it soon shifts! Absolutely mint car worth paying the extra for a decent car much better looking than a focus it Astra and to drive ! Insurance is so cheap to had a clip dci and it was 6 pound difference bear in mind I'm 24… Read Full Review

I purchased my Milano red 1.6 Honda Civic Sport from a used car dealer in Poole, some 60 miles away, after having scoured the Internet for a low miler in good condition. Let's just say I am not disappointed with my new motor! She has only covered 37k miles, which is great for a 55-plate car, and it appears as though the log book has been stamped every 5-6k miles, which is reassuring, to be honest. I like the looks of the Sport. My car already has window tints, but that appears to be the… Read Full Review

I decidedto upgrade from my first car a 1.1 206 which seemed to always be in the garage(due to cheap parts), so after looking around it was between this and a new shape focus. Test drove alot of both cars and the honda won hands down with everything! They may be a bit dearer but you definitely get what you pay for as all iv ever done is regularly service it and change tyres.... I eventually settled on a 3 door 1.6sport(4years old) in black with all the extras a Type-r would have plus black… Read Full Review

The Civic sport seems to be hondas best kept secret, looks just like a type r but with a perfect economical engine, ok so you have to rev the engine to make it move fast but thats not a problem as everyone knows a honda engine will cope with it. The ride is stiff but if you want a soft car buy an astra. Typical Japanese cockpit very siple and boring but has a very solid feel. Dash mounted gear stick is fantastic, at first it feels strange but once you get used to it, its feels very… Read Full Review

I had been looking for Honda Civic 1.6 Vtec Sport for months and finaly got ahold of one.. i had to drive over 2 hours away from were i live and the wait was finaly over, i sat in a 2005 (05 plate model in silver with 41k on clock for £5995). I was all excited, i switched the engine on and it sounded good for a stock exhaust ( twin exhaust backbox ) i then drove down the road and i couldnt help but feel dissapointed, it didnt feel particualy fast for a 1.6, although it did go through the gears… Read Full Review

One of the best cars out there! Performance for a 1.6 engine is second to none compared to others. The car also looks fast, you can't ask for any more. The boot size is double that of a small car, big enough even for two trolleys full. Enough room for 3 adults in the back, even if they are above 6 foot. The gearbox is smooth and changing gear is easy. For all the people who like flying over speed bumps, be aware the front bumper is lower than a standard car and will scrape if your not careful… Read Full Review

Not only a looker for the youngsters!First brand new car I have ever bought having thouroughly researched/test driven lots of other cars as options, vowed I'd never buy a Honda as I felt it was an old farts car[ironically it was my 50th birthday present to myself!!]this metallic grey machine was screaming at me from a Honda forecourt, test drove it and fell in love, and I'm still in love with it.39,000 on the clock annual service and thats it-apart from tyres etc.My kids are desperate for me to… Read Full Review

I Bought Honda Civic sport 1.6 nice car shame about the gearbox problems .I have only done 67000 miles and it has cost me nearly £800 to fix Honda refuse to acknowledge that this is a manufacturer fault .They have extended the warranty for older models to cover this same problem but not for newer ones .Honda Customer service team not at all helpful .Service should be measured when things go wrong and how a company reacts in this case I would not buy another Honda .All you budding Honda buyers… Read Full Review

Absolutely brilliant car, had a nice induction kit installed which gives a slight power boost to an already extremely powerfull 1.6 engine, VTEC is definatly the way forward when it comes to engines, considering having a cat-back exhaust fitted and getting the car remapped to bring the 0-60 time under 8.5 seconds, but for now it is a brilliant drive, enjoy the trip to work a lot more than the previous car ( renault clio 1.2 RL ) but then of course i would :) would recommend to anyone, mines got… Read Full Review

I have my Honda Civic Sport for three years now and want to keep it for as long as i practically can. Always thought it was a brilliant car which handles brilliantly through corners, with such great feel for grip.
The biggest disappointment was the gear box which i had to have refurbished with new bearings. This cost me £1200, which i feel is outrageous due to the age (4 years old). I feel a bit harsh writing anything bad in amoungst all this praise. I do feel it is a great car that i…

Having spent the last 12 months on first name terms with my local RAC driver I felt it was about time I picked a car that would provide me with some fun, but more importantly trouble free motoring. I'm a sucker for style and speed but thinking sensibly this car needed to do a 70 mile round trip each day without burning a hole in my wallet, I was unsure what to buy. Eventually after some weeks spent on car forums listening to people talking about their hot hatches I decided to settle on a… Read Full Review

Only had my Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC Type S for a couple of weeks now, upgraded from 1.4 Rover 25 (My first car) and the difference was immediately evident.
The ride is extremely smooth and it has the power there when you want it.
It looks the business, its not so 'in your face' like the Type R but it doesnt need to be, its subtle but you can still notice the cool trim around the sides and the spolier.
A great but for me, it had only done 39000 miles so basically a new car.
Great little car…

Ive had this Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC a year now.....this car is one of the best car's that can be owned for this size of engine. It fills up with £45 to a full tank and does near enough 400 miles to a tank if you dont hit Vtec. Stops like a stone hitting a brick wall, looks the part and gearstick is positioned the way it should be in all car's for rapid gear changes… Read Full Review
