Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. It is a nice smell, nice bottle, long lasting but quite heavy, not a light summery scent. I'd say only use for nights out or if you have nothing else scented- only one spritz is needed.

I was hesitant on buying this perfume. I usually stay with one scent. I received a sample from Macy's and I knew I had to have it. Love it

I like the smell of Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. It lasts longer than most perfumes. I put it on my works jacket, and it last for days!

I love Sarah Jessica Parker and was so excited for her new perfume Lovely to come out, especially after reading in September Vogue how seriously she took it and how much work she had put into it. But when I went to the drugstore expecting to have to whip out the debit card.. I actually found I didn't even want to take the sample card home with me because initially I didn't like the smell even a little bit.

Although not at all the fragrance I expected, I think Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker is wonderful. I love the way that it is soft but present for several hours after application. I also appreciate the value for your money.

I just had to try Sarah Jessica Parker's new fragrance, "Lovely", because, lets face it, she's one lady we all admire in the style stakes, and I figured the girl would know a good smell. But in saying that, it was not at all what I expected. Lets say, it is a rather interesting concoction of fresh citrus, and woody notes, with very soft, muted floral notes, ever so slightly lavenderish, but not in a bad way. After dry down, there is the mearest hint of apple martini and patchouli, but you almost need a bionic nose to detect it. I'm glad I tried "Lovely", but I don't think this one's for me. It doesn't take me away on a journey. (Maybe I expect a LOT from a perfume). I think it is the kind of fragrance that you need to give some time, to let your senses develop and enjoy it. Anyway, I recommend you do.

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker: Remember how when you were little you were unable to sleep on Christmas Eve because you just knew Santa was going to bring you that new pink and purple bike with a bell and a basket, and you couldn't wait to eat all the candy in your stocking...only to wake up to a sweater knitted by Aunt Marge and a stocking full of apples and oranges? Me neither, but that's what I felt like upon my first whiff of Lovely. I was expecting sweet perfection from the amazing SJP, and instead I got an orange.

Lovely smells like root beer, liquorice and moth balls for a couple of hours (I suppose this is actually the orchid and paper whites). The dry down, which is quite "lovely"(the lavender, amber, and musk?--I never noticed an apple martini smell)would be a payoff if(a)it didn't take so long, (b)it wasn't so darn light and (c)close to the skin. Who wants to smell like liquorice and mothballs for two hours only to have to raise wrist to nose for just the faintest whiff of your fragrance? I have no problem waiting for a fragrance to settle, but two hours is a bit ridiculous for something I can barely smell when it's all said and done--not to mention dealing with the initial scent until then. It's too bad, because I'm on a search for a new signature scent (if you couldn't tell by all my reviews) and I was hoping this would be it. However, there are far better fragrances that I don't have to work so hard to enjoy...but I still love SJP.
