You never get tired of the feeling of suspense in The Great Escape. WAiting around a corner, or laying low in a ditch, you wait for a Nazi guard to pass before making the right move. Do you run past or try to strangle him? If he sees you, do you out-run him or turn around and punch him? There are always various ways to complete missions.

However, the graphics are a bit blocky, speech sounds cut-'N'-pasted by a computer and the game is a bit short. But you never get tired of re-playing missions on the "Greatest Escape" mode, where every objective is against a time limit.

A great game for strategic players who sneak about (like Hitman or Metal Gear Solid), but not so good for shoot-'em-up players, like Timesplitters or Killzone.

I really enjoyed the Great Escape on the PS2, it is a great story that makes you want to keep playing and the graphics are really good. You get to play as four different characters, each with their own personal skill as you plan and execute the great escape.

At times the game is very easy, at others very hard, each mission can be accomplished in a number of ways - do you jump the fence, dig a tunnel or steal a nazi uniform and walk out - its up to you which is one of the things that makes this game great.

Like a lot of games out at the moment this games relies a lot on stealth and sneaking but thankfully it has been implemented very well and is actually enjoyable. The game is a little short but I have still enjoyed playing it through a few more times - recommended.
