We asked to borrow 3,000 from Norton loans and they recommended taking out a secured loan of 15000 to consolidate our debt. The advisor implied to us that we’d already been accepted by the lenders to do this. We had numerous phone calls with the advisor, including incomings and outgoings expenditure forecasts and at no point did the sales advisor imply that we might not be accepted for the loan. Then out of the blue we received a phone call from a male sales advisor who totally belittled and spoke down to us by telling us that there was no way we could afford the loan. Apparantely my husbands salary would not stretch to meet the repayments. It was the total opposite of what we had already spoken about to the female advisor and we were shocked to say the least. We did not ask for this large loan to start with anyway!! The male sales advisor from Norton was one of the rudest men I have ever encountered in my life. He made us feel like criminals in the way that he spoke to us. He had the most appalling attitude and cockiness and I would definitely tell people to avoid using this company.

Don't trust them!!! I applied for a business loan for my business and was told yes that's fine as its a relatively new company it will need further guarantors fine I say. Next thing I know I am bombarded by personal guarantor finance on my company mobile. The are a broker they send you details through to who ever will pay them for the referral not caring if the product matches requirements. They a con-merchants conning both the loan companies and the clients. I wanted to give a zero sadly I cant

I have been bombarded with text messages saying they have been trying to contact me about a loan I had enquired about. You can't respond by text telling them to leave you alone they give you a telephone number instead. I refuse to waste my money on them so will need to email a complaint. I DON'T want a loan norton finance leave me ALONE!!!!!@

Rang this company 5 days ago and was told I would receive a call from a dedicated advisor within 24hrs. Rang after the 4th day and got a name of the person dealing with it but this person is never available and never returns your calls. Shocking customer service, go elsewhere.

And prepare for complex forms, that you will have to resubmit and then resubmit again. I am a senior manager with a Masters in Business Admin. I can't follow their instructions - seriously! So in that delays are now my fault(!). Nothing done electronically. Which when you have to resubmit and resubmit is infuriating. Promised 2 - 3 weeks for a secured loan. I'm already at week 5. They really could do with a bit of a customer service rethink. Insipid, overly nice and vacuous staff who aren't helpful. If you need to use them, brace yourself.

I am an IFA with 15 years experience and i have never had as bad an experience with a company in all those years as i have had with Norton Broker Services. They ring you up with all the spiel about how good they are and how smooth everything is and you get the opposite. My clients may have had a blemish on their credit files but that just gives Norton the chance to put your client on the highest rate possible. They say speed of service but the valuation was not conducted until 27 days after submission. As for paperwork they ask for one thing even put it in an email and then you get it and they ask for something else. As for the staff lets just say the case handlers do long lunches and telephone calls yet when you ring someone else they can all ways manage to have a quick word with them, i could go on and on but won't but all i am saying as an IFA if you have a client to place avoid Norton Broker Services - you've been warned

I completed an online enquiry form and Was called back. I was not happy with the way I was spoken to as I was dismissed and passed on to another person who was unhelpfuL and used a tone which showed disrespect and lack of willingness to help me. They said they would call back but never did not to bothere'd as went with a different company who made with experience a lot more pleasurable.

Having been through the necessary questioning process, i was declined due to the cost of living having already been added on at over £500. This is nowhere near what I spend, but for some reason it could not be amended. I could afford the loan easily, but was turned down for a ridiculous and inaccurate reason. Why don't they ask how much is spent rather than presume and over estimate?!

Applied weeks ago, have spoken to 3 different advisers, got offered the perfect loan I was looking for that was easily affordable for myself. Waited 3 days for my pack to be sent out only to be called at the last minute to say thatI had been turned down. 3 advisers couldn't pick up on something before I was told Norton Finance could help me. All this time and I could have been making other enquiries with people that can help.

They contacted within hours of my application. I had a shot credit rating defaults etc. No problem rates a little high and charges but end of day no one else could give loan. I cleared all my debts with F&F Settlement and yes I have repayments for 10 years so what no phone calls, letters, threats now peace of mind.

They do not call back when they promise. They send refusal emails instead of calling. Norton Finance, do not offer finance to people who are in financial difficulties. Unprofessional, inefficient, right hand does not know what left hand is doing.

I filled in on-line form. Received call back just an hour or so later. Spoke to [name removed] who ran through the form (application) with me. She was really helpful and explained everything simply (without jargon) in a very down to earth, friendly manner. Its quite rare to find customer service advirors/finanical advisors of this calbre and I just wanted to say its really good you have such experienced people on your team. To be fair even if the loan request had been refused I still would have sent the feedback about your advisor as she was really good. I told her my cicumstances and that I was looking for home loan and she just simply guided me through the whole process in short space of time.

The staff I spoke to we're professional they accepted me with a rate of 17% apr but secured on my property, after working out all the fees and interest it was too much to repay the arrangement fee plus admin fee killed it for me but the staff were not pushy at all and they did not harass me at work if my situation gets worse I would consider going back to them

My details got passed on to them, they rejected my loan (in an email kindly called 'Rejectin Email') but then phone me 10 times in less than 24 hours on my work number and mobile trying to offer me 'other services' despite me making it clear I wasn't interested.

I wanted an indication of rates for a 5k loan over 12 months. This could not be done without going through some details - 15 minutes later and a full proposal completed I was told that an account manager would call me back. I asked for a call after 7pm so imagine my surprise when I was called at 11am to discuss the loan. I was then told that I had passed the critria (no surprise)and that a thre year loan was available for me. I explained that I had asked for a a 5k loan over 12 months but was told that this was not available. If they had told me at the start of the process I would have not gone through the proposal stage. The rate however was the real slap £214.09 over 36 months - a total of £2,707.24 for borrowing £5,000. That equates to a flat rate of 18.05% and an APR in the region of 32% - a credit card even in these times is cheaper! Having used Norton on a corpoarte basis for my own clients I thought that they would have offer a customer driven service - lesson learnt, I shal l ot use them and nor would I recommend others to use them - so disappointing

I dealt with 3 people from this company and i have to say i have never experienced such high customer service from any financial institution !.
I was wholley inpressed with the service and even though i didnt qualify for the loan i applied for i was given sound financial advice for the circumstances i was in with no gain at all to the company ! this i have to say is how every bank and financial institution should work instead of it being for financial gain for the company.... i would like to thank the two employees i spoke to from norton regarding my loan, and had i obtained thier names i would be writing a letter to the company not to dissimilar from this review !even though i didnt qualify for the loan i was contcted by an employee called dameon who in turn lowered my life insurance, again aiding my situation ! again a lovely employee with the customers circs at heart.i took the life insurance with them. i would like to thank norton for all there help , and only hope other financial services take note of there exceptional customer services. well done !

That's terrible the way they messed you around like that, glad I checked these reviews, many others seem to be saying the same kind of thing, did they tell you why you were rejected?, if it was anything to do with your credit score then surely it defeats the whole object, as they claim to be a 'bad credit' specialist etc
