I bought this mic for a digital camera. Some said the digital version of this mic was necessary, but this was not the case, it's currently on a Sony mini digi camcorder, and does not overly effect the balance. It is very light in weight, but the sound is superb, and does not suffer from any wobble noise. They say it has a built in shock mount system, and this I believe, when shaking the mic about, does not give any interference
