Accommodation in bouganvilla aparthotel is small but adequate for needs and my biggest moan was no aircon or even a fan. You had to hire a fan at 15 euro for week and 15 euro deposit which personally annoyed me you are on holiday in hot country and they cant even provide a fan in accom without additional charge. I opted to buy one from a hypermarket and although I will be going back to the same part of Majorca again next year I will be looking at hotels nearer to beach and that provide a fan or aircon as standard.
We had booked for self catering but did pay to eat at the buffet restaurant a few times which cost 36 euro for a family of four for an evening meal which had plenty of choice. The main pool was very big and was kept clean however sun loungers are a nightmare I only used the pool on a morning for a swim before we went out for day and even at 9am all sun loungers had towels on them but 90% had no body lying on them quite a few people complain about this however nothing much gets done although bouganvilla policy is that people cannot reserve sunloungers and towels can be removed by staff if needed.
Towels in accom where changed nearly every day. The entertainment was okay but too be honest it will never be a butlins and we opted to travel out of the resort most days and evenings traveling the island various destinations.
The resort itself is a bit of a walk from the main area of sa coma and the beach, we had a hire car for the week so didn't really affect us and Bouganvilla do have a train that travels to the beach every day so the distance isn't really a concern. Also a bit of a walk away is the sa coma hypermarket which I would recommend you visiting if self catering and if you want to buy a fan as they sell them for around 16 euros.
Sa Coma is a very nice area of Majorca, clean beach, plenty of places to eat and not to far from Cala Millor.
Personally its not a bad hotel and if they sorted out an inclusive fan or 2 per accom and maybe a TV (yes you have to hire those as well), sorted out the sunlounger hoggers, maybe just go round and throw peoples towels into the pool until they get the message if you aint lying on them then let some one else use them. I would consider using them again.

Booked as a last minute deal and was worried with reading previous comments. Everybody likes different things so I kept an open mind. We took 2 children (13 and 3) and both loved it!! Plenty to both day and night-not somewhere to go if you like piece and quiet-lots of children!! We went self catering and ate out every night. The restaurants are all a 10-15 minute walk away and lots to chose from. There is also a pizzeria on site and this is fabulous-best pizzas around!! Rooms very basic but we only slept in them, so no need for fancy furniture. Overall we enjoyed every minute and would definitely go back...the kids didn't want to go home!!

Went to Bouganvilla Aparthotel on my own, was a little scared, but have travelled alone before! As soon as I arrived, I knew I had done the right thing, the staff were fantastic, looked after me well, and there were so many other people there on their own too, so it's a great place for singles as well as families and couples. Would def go back, and would recommend to everyone! A few people have moaned about a few cracks or paintwork in their rooms, which I think is really sad as who goes on holiday to inspect the rooms! They are clean, tidy and have everything you need in them! Cant wait to go back again!

Had a fab time at the Bouganvilla Aparthotel, great for kids and teenagers, food good liked the barbecue of an evening, entertainment good and plenty to do. Apartments a little basic but fine and had everything you needed.
My only gripe would be the lack of sunbeds around the large pool, you have to get up really and I mean really early to get one of these, but the smaller pool was fine, and you were only allowed 2 drinks at a time in the big top of an evening. But overall a great holiday, kids had a fab time will go again. Oh yes and I forgot the train was excellent that took you to the beech and stuff. We had a great time, thanks a lot and we will be their very shortly again, Thanks a lot.

This holiday resort was amazing! One of the best holidays I have ever been too. The resort was lovely and the accommodation was perfect. There was so much to do there. All inclusive food was good but had the same puddings and sometimes the same meals. It was great! we might go again.

The accommodation at Bouganvilla Aparthotel was fabulous and the entertainment was good too. There was a lack of sun loungers and you would have to get up a 5.30 just to make sure that you got one! Overall very good

We booked this holiday in January from Going Places, Belfast with a departure date out of Edinburgh on the 3rd July 2007.
We booked mainly on the advice of the travel representatives in both Belfast and calls placed with the Edinburgh office.
Our brief was that we were looking for a family friendly resort, quiet and not overly busy, with high quality accommodation and a kids club.
We were given a couple of options, both the self catering option at Bouganvilla plus another couple of half board and all inclusive options all around the same price range.
When we queried the fact that Bouganvilla was only 3 star and would the other options not be better options since, they were 4 star hotels, we were informed that for a family, the Bouganvilla self catering option would be by far the best and not to worry that the accommodation would be of a similar standard of the other 4 star options as this was a dedicated family sun centre resort and as such would be of premier quality.
However, on arrival, we soon realised that the Bouganvilla met little of these expectations or standards. On arrival, late in the evening the one bedroom apartment, that we were initially provided with, was down a dark alley, which was frightening for the young children with us. The room was poky, with little room to even get the sofa bed down. The terrace, as promoted in the brochure, was non existent and the rooms were all extremely dirty, with sand and dirty hairs everywhere, even though we were informed that the rooms had been prepared and cleaned for our arrival.
We then had to move to an upgraded one bedroom apartment, which was slightly more spacious and offered a terrace with a view and the constant noise of a power generator. The accommodation was again very unclean and unsatisfactory eg bed-sheets were worn through and stained, the sofa bed was broken and dirty. Beds, dining room tables and chairs were also all dirty and tatty. Even the room key card stuck to the dining room table, even though again we were assured that this apartment was cleaned for our arrival.
In general, we found the complex, run down and tatty, with vandalism, bad paintwork and graffiti on the apartments, certainly not what we had been anticipating or looking forward to. It was far from family friendly or inviting.
The next day, we spoke immediately with our tour representative and asked to be transferred out of the Bouganvilla to anywhere else on the Island.
We were provided with one option, the Puerto del Sol Aparthotel in Cala D'Or.
We were however, not given any assistance with transferring accommodation or finding out more about the new accommodation. We wasted the first day or so of our holiday just transferring to suitable accommodation.
The onus and expense were placed on us to hire a car, with two young children in tow, to go and find the new accommodation without any assistance.
We were also extremely angry and disappointed to find out that we had to pay a transfer administration charge of 250 Euros just to move to another set of accommodation with a same 3 star rating but without the kids club option. The children were very disappointed, as they had been looking forward to the Kids Club. However, staying at the Bouganvilla was just not an option for hygiene reasons.
This was made worse, when we found that other families larger than ours had paid a lot less than us to stay in the new accommodation on an all inclusive deal.
Should we have booked this holiday at the Bouganvilla last minute or without the apparent expert advice from your travel representatives, perhaps we would have been less disappointed with the outcome. However, we believed we were paying premiums, the mark-up is ridiculous, to ensure a high quality and happy holiday. We feel that we were misinformed and badly advised by the travel representatives but regardless of this, the accommodation was completely inadequate.
The standard of the accommodation at Bouganvilla could not have even been compared with the Puerto de Sol, in Cala D'or.

Arrived home from Bouganvilla yesterday, 1st time and last time to go. Please bare in mind everybody likes different things. So what might not be for some, may be for you. This was recommended by my sister who has been 3 times so like I said everyones different. I was so shocked on arriving to my room in a studio to discover the smallest bed on the floor made up for my daughter, it was on wheels and made of cheap wood, so low to the floor it was just wheels slats then thin foam, people who had no option but to use them said they rolled around when you moved in your sleep. I wouldn't let her sleep on it. I had a thin sofa which my legs hung off the end because I'm 5ft 10, I made the other up for my daughter. It was just one room, no tv, no mirror, and just a basic kitchen side and small bathroom. To be honest I wasn't gonna let it get me down cos I've stayed in worse and you don't go to sit in your room, but some paid to be moved to another hotel.
The food was basic what you would expect in a 3* and it was sometimes a nightmare to get a table. You have to pay at the bar for any drinks.
Getting a poolside bed in the morning was impossible, I arrived at 5am to see a lady placing a towel and then going back to her room. Best to go beach first thing get dinner out, then go back for a bed. Take any inflatables to your room, don't leave them down in the pool as someone kindly slashed around 20 inflatables on the last day, lucky we were going but I'm sure there were a lot of crying children the next morning.
Free bus to beach, lovely beach and nice pizza opposite beach, don't book trips at hotel with reps as I did this then found it in a shop near beach just off a side street for over 20 euros cheaper. Weather was so hot everyone was burnt, but they offer a special spray for 18 euro for delicate skin. If you like cheap, tacky shops and no nightlife or bars then Sa Coma is good for you. Very quiet. Entertainment at big top was good and stuff for kids to do. Not my cuppa tea, at all! but some people like it. Don't know why! But I guess you don't know till you have experienced. If you've booked just take my tips for the pool beds and trips and just have fun!

Bouganvilla Aparthotel very far away from SA Coma itself and if you want to get out in the evening it is 4+ taxi either way. One evening I paid the taxi. €6.70 for a taxi from Burger King to the Bouganvilla. Food on site was desperate. No effort gone in at all - just thrown on a plate. Wouldn't go back after my experiences.

I was very disappointed with the accommodation at the Bouganvilla Aparthotel in Majorca. We booked this as a last minute holiday, and we ended up staying in a studio with sofa beds! The room itself was very small and just OK for 2 people. I would not say that this is a 3 star, as it was very basic, and it could do with a refurbishment. This is a very large complex, with the big top at the back of the apartment blocks. Entertainment was great for kids, and the staff worked really hard. The evening entertainment wasn't great, but it was bearable. The food in the restaurant was nice, but if you are self catering I do not think it is worth paying for the food. You are only a 10 minute walk from other pubs and shops. I will not be returning here. Overall - disappointed.

We had two apartments above shop at Bouganvilla Aparthotel. No problem, child safe complex, clean well maintained. Sa Coma is lovely resort. Food from carry out restaurant downstairs very good, in our 13 night stay there was only 1 professional act, the bar staff are friendly if you tip them, if you don't there mostly rude.

The Bouganvilla Aparthotel is in an excellent location. Very clean and tidy, and for the beach bums there is a regular service (free) to take you to the beach and back. Also Calla Millor just a few mins away in taxi if you want to go clubbing.

I have just arrived back from Majorca last night and wanted to write to say how fantastic the Bouganvilla Aparthotel is. The pools are great they don't just go down deep the increase in depth slowly with is great just for a paddle and to get used to the water.
The complex has everything it has a supermarket with everything you could need including British products at great value prices too which is a bonus.
A little shop with post cards, inflatables and souvenirs.
The staff were also very friendly could not do enough for you and they all tried really had to speak English.
