The Bull, Great Totham

Avoid oh do avoid this one. The 'cottage in the grounds' is in fact NEXT to the pub. Banging clanging and shouting going on all the time. The rooms upstairs are SO loud too, you cant sleep.

And what's worse.. A FOUL smell of bad plumbing and stagnant sewerage filled our room. We felt so sick we left at midnight! The manager claims this was local farms spreading pesticides however.... I am a vet and know the difference very well. They'd tried to mask the stench with smelliest in the ensuite. It was truly appalling. They were barely apologetic. I wouldn't pay 20 pounds to stay here.

4 hours from start to finish... almost £80 per person..... dreadful..... will not visit again.... EVER.... staff looked like a horror show.... pink hair, etc... fine dining... I do not think so.... get MATURE staff who know how to dress for the prices you charge. Apparently two sittings that day. Greedy people.... do not go there

Went to the Willow Rooms at the Bull for wife's birthday. No coats taken, cold plates, cold meal, tasteless vegetables, service left a lot to be desired. Would not recommend this venue to anybody. Television in the bar was way to loud while we were waiting for the table. Not to be visited again.

The willow rooms are very well appointed and atmosphere is very pleasent .Staff provide very attentive service without pestering .The food is of a very high standard. We did have minor issue with main course which was quickly remdied. This is a very special place for people who appreciate fine dining at its best

A Superb find!

A small party of us visted The Bull for lunch on my Husbands Birthday. The place is hardly recognisable from it's previous days in both style and food. We all thought the food was fantastic, in fact the best we have had in the area. You will pay a little more than average although it is worth it. Friendly and attentive staff made our visit complete. We will return and recommend to our friends.

The Bull serves the best fish I've tasted in ages and chips are great. I think I have nearly gone through the vast menu. The home made steak pudding is to die for. The meat is good to.
