We arrived at Travelodge late and weary and were shown our room. Not impressed to start with as it was up a flight of stairs - overlooking a dumpster. However in the morning we went to reception and spoke to a lovely Scottish woman who moved us to a pool side room and it was perfect. The beach is breathtaking. It is truly what dreams are made off. The pool was very popular with my three children and there is plenty of loungers and a beach bar! One side of the bar faces the pool and the other is right on the beach. Live music at the bar - usually at the weekend - with occasional BBQ's. All the hotels along this stretch of beach have bars and you can take a stroll along and visit them all as you don't have to be a guest in that particular hotel. You can hire a double beach lounger for around $10 [complete with shade]. There is also paragliding, pedal boats and all the usual beach sports to keep you occupied. Busch gardens are about an hours drive away and you can't miss the dolphin trip which is on offer. A bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the mooring where it sets off from. A truly magical part of Florida and once you see the beach - you will want to go back time and again.
