The Motorola E398 Is A Quite Smart And Professiona
The Motorola E398 is a quite smart and professional looking mobile phone with a large display, along with some good features, but it does lack in the area of the alarm system. However, it is easy to use, and the storage capacity is excellent for storing all your photo's.
This phone comes with built-in flash lights, which is also very good.
The only downside is the Alarm system, which isn't sophisticated enough for me!
Overall, it is a good phone to have for daily use!

The Motorola E398 is a good looking phone with a large display, easy to use once you do get the hang of the features, good amount of staoage due to memory card. Flashing lights are fun (well for kids they are)ringtones are good with lots to choose from..
Main fault for me is connecting to the PC never seems to work..

I Love The Rubbery Black Cover, The Bright Screen,
I love the rubbery black cover, the bright screen, and the Motorola E393 mobile phone syncs easily with my PC. Bluetooth works like a charm, and the MP3 player can play through dual speakers that are positioned on the side of the phone, and it is loud! It is not a mega-pixel phone, but it takes good pictures. The battery life is 4 days average. MP3's are stored on its T-flash card, which is really tiny. On my current 512MB card, I can fit on about 100-120 songs. It is currently modded with custom software that uses iTunes, and it is capable of pod-casting. I love this phone.

I Originally Purchased This Mobile Phone In Februa
I originally purchased this mobile phone in February of 2005 from my local T-Mobile Store for £129.99 which looking back was robbing for the spec of the phone.
I would not have bought the phone on T-Mobile but no one else appeared to have taken it up or T-Mobile had purchased sole rights to sell the phone (I unlocked the phone and used it on Orange).
T-Mobile menus were awful, luckily you could use Motorola Menus. What was annoying was the T-Mobile Startup Tune and Graphics the Tune being the worst as you could not set your own or turn it off.
The Flashing light system was naff and not what i had expected having tried a friends V80.
The Screen Display could have been much brighter, more colourful and sharper (the old sharp GX10i had a much more colourful and pleasant display). The Camera was not very sharp. The Memory Card system was poor it would not extend the main phone memory and you had to manually copy a ringtone out of the memory card into main phone memory this caused problems if you were using MP3 for ringtones and wanted one for voice, text and alarm. The Datasuite supplied with the phone was very poor and the cable kept dropping out of the USB Port of my PC. Bluetooth link was good. Battery life on the phone is diabolical considering the phone was being pushed as a mobile MP3 player like the ipod system and the Orange SPV C500 which in some ways was better.
Itap Texing this should be got rid of completely by Motorola and they should install a full T9 system on there phones ie add to dictionary, word wrap just like all nokia and siemens, and ericsson phones do.
I would not reccomend this phone or any other Motorolas unless they update there systems.

I Bought The Motorola E398 Phone Because Of Its Ma
I bought the Motorola E398 phone because of its many features and nice design.
Unfortunately, it crashed after the first rain. (The phone was actually not even under the rain, just in a pocket that became wet.) And rain is apparently not covered by the Motorola warranty :-(
A phone that survived 3.5 weeks only ... useless.
Hate to break it to you but no manufacturer will cover a phone that gets liquid damage. You choose to label Motorola as useless because you got the phone wet........shame.
