“Terrible customer service and poor quality finish”

Terrible customer service from Heals. Purchased the Madrid Dining table and bench from Heals back in January. It took about 18 weeks for delivery, but the finish is poor, it has a big uneven holes and rough parts on the table top. The surface is so uneven that we can't put glasses down on the problem areas without them toppling over. We called Heals immediately and sent numerous photos of the table. Ordered stackable bookshelves July 2018. Shortly after order was placed, I was asked to accept change in colour scheme which I reluctantly agreed. Advised that delivery would be fast - early Sept - as most items in stock. “Awful experience.”

Ordered a Tom Dixon table lamp with an expected of 3 - 5 days, Brilliant I thought. How wrong could i be. After a wk or so and still no sign of my delivery. I contacted the call centre to be met by an obnoxious and rude call handler who had no empathy or willingness to help oke iota, and abruptly informed me they couldn't take calls regarding delivery as they are a third party call centre used as an overflow and a call back on my order would take 3 days before slamming the phone down on me… Read Full Review

“Second and last bad experience with Heals”

I have placed two orders with Heals, expecting it to be a straight forward process as both orders were in stock. Instead, i found both orders to be considerably delayed (each taking over a month, instead of the 2-4 days stated on the website). We ordered a bed from here for the house we've just moved into. It is so comfortable, which is not so good for wanting to get up in the mornings. I ordered furniture from Heals, with a promised delivery date - and time between 13.00 - 17.00. I asked if they could call that morning to give me a more exact time. The lady in the shop said I will put a request on your account, but it will be hit or miss depending on the driver. As it was so hit and miss I left work at 12.00 and was home at 12.45. Heal's is an iconic name which is quickly becoming tarnished. It offers a first class product but this is not matched a first class customer service. Situated at the high end of furniture retail it should be five star but it is difficult to offer it any star. It appears to be purely interested in transaction rather than customer experience. Purchased an item from the website which i needed to return. Had to contact Heals 5 times before I got sent the paperwork needed to make a return. I ordered some bed sheets and the website said it was waiting stock (8 days) so i thought i was going to wait at least 10 days knowing that I did my purchase on a late saturday night. Please avoid this Tottenham branch. If you want to pay for overpriced products, go to another heals branch. Heal's on tottenham court road have very friendly staff but are treated bad by the scumbags that run the branch. The first branch had the wrong measurements printed in their in store leaflet, the second store couldn't find a member of staff that knew anything about the product. Having already been ignored for a previous order gone wrong, I decided to give them a second chance recently. Third time lucky? I won't give them the opportunity. I bought furnishing fabric in-store during the sale period. The choice of fabrics and sources is fantastic - discount was reasonable 20% - more would obviously be welcome. I took several visits to decide and the staff I met were all very helpful and well-informed; one worked out how much I would need, one showed me an example of same fabric on furniture in-store, so I could decide on seams.
