“bed delivered with smashed headboard”

Received a bed via courier delivery. Best they could offer was a spot 7am to 6pm (I ask you!) Took the morning off and left a neighbour to cover the afternoon. Got home to find a very battered looking package in the hallway. Photographed it before touching anything - it was that dubious. Secondary tape everywhere - it had obviously been opened before! Worse online shopping experience to date. Ordered a bed for our son via the Dunelm website which came next day delivery.. All starting so well. However the bed arrived damaged, looked for instructions on how to arranged a return/ replacement and had to call a number on the advise slip. Unfortunately after being in a queue for around 30 minutes the lines closed. Reserved an item online for collection in Croydon store. It was a random present for a friend. Was supposed to receive an email or text confirming my item is ready for collection. This has never happened and I have sent my friend over to check in the shop. “The fireplace that never arrived”

Absolute disgrace. Terrible customer service and head office not interested. Ordered a fireplace for 3 to 5 days delivery. Told it had been dispatched by text for delivery next day. What a load of rubbish!!!!!!! Almost 2 weeks later. 3 hrs trying to contact them and a promices of next day delivery. Nothing again. Further waiting on the phone to head office. Ordered a large amount of goods (31 items) on express delivery so they could be ordered on my day off. On the day I waited in and got a text at 2.30 saying due to a technical error they were delivering as standard delivery instead and would arrive sometime soon within 5 days. I contacted customer service who were very nice and explained I work full-time and couldn't guarantee to be in for 5 days which was why I had paid for express delivery! I placed a large order with a home delivery. Almost immediately after confirming the payment I realised I had made a mistake with the quantity on one of the items. I tried to add the additional item to my existing order placed 5 minutes previously. This cannot be done online. “Appalling Customer service”

We visited the Reading store this week and were appalled by the quality of customer service. We wanted some fabric from one of their rolls cutting and between us asked 4 different members of staff, including the manager to assist with this. We kept being told that someone would come or was on their way. After 15 minutes one of the staff apologised and told us that the member of staff who was able to cut the fabric was 'outside having a cigarette'! “Bad quality & even worse customer service”

I ordered a chest of drawers and paid express delivery to get it within 5 days, it came 2 weeks later and was damaged. I had to continuously phone the company, yes they refunded delivery, but there was no apology and the customer service is appalling. Lied to me about delivery and claimed I wasn't home to receive it, when I was and it had never left the warehouse (I phone the courier company directly). Overpriced, poor quality furniture. Very disappointed that the 2 Dunelm shops I have recently visited (sat 9th+thurs14th September) had not enough stock to sell me 4.5 metres of blackout lining for my curtains. Absolutely disgusted with the service. Ordered furniture at beginning August (£795 paid). Delivery due 29th Aug. After lots of aggravation still not received it and was told today that they would have to raise a new order, with delivery due 11th Sept., the reason being that courier only received part of the order, and after holding it for so long sent it back to Dunelm. Their online service stinks...Two phone calls both waiting 15 and 16 mins to get through!.After not hearing about a wardrobe delivery for nearly 2 weeks...3-5 days it said...I contacted them and they said they would tell their It dept to look at the problem. Ordered verticle blinds, picked them up mid July. Had them fitted, but it was obvious that something was wrong with track, as the wand/rod was difficult to turn. After 2 days of trying to get through on phone, gave up and drove a 30 mile round journey to store. there I spoke to the "expert in curtain dept" who phoned manufacturer, must be a faulty track and will send out another. Purchased some wardrobes on line recently which were advertised as 1-2 days delivery and the couriers would contact me to arrange delivery. Tried to buy 4 garden chairs set. Was told first they don't do them. Only to find them on their website. But them in my basket. Went to pay!but would not let me. So rang head office a D emailed them. Went to buy garden furniture only had 2 of 3 boxes in store I suggest returning for missing box but no not able then was sent on 3 hour round trip to collect from another store and they didn't have it there!! Called 1st store obviously annoyed suggesting they should let me take the 2 boxes and source the table for my inconvenience but not allowed!! I said I would not shop at Dunelm again 5 years ago when the curtains tie backs and cushions I bought were rubbish and customer services did not want to help. 5 years on I went back for the first time and had nothing but trouble ended up leaving my stuff in my trolley and walking out phoned the customer service line and was told they would look into it and phone me back but didn't. Just visited my local store in Fareham. On entering the shop, the queues at the tills were well in excess of about 40 people waiting. Guess what only 3 tills open. We went in to look at some chairs.
