Thank You!
Thank you all so much at Caroline Castigliano for helping me through this terrible time while my wedding has been postponed due to coronavirus. I have been so stressed trying to cancel the wedding plans and contact everyone. I only had one more fitting to go in my gown when the unimaginable happened and you have all been so kind, helpful and kept me sane.
I will be in contact as soon as I know what is happening but just wanted to say a huge thank you.

Horrendous Service
Pushy staff with no level of customer care. Have been hung up on by 'customer service' and emails ignored. Do not buy your dress from here.
Hello,
I was wondering if you can expand on your experience? I have been pushed into signing a contract on my first appointment and now I cant get out of it I have been so upset the entire weekend and Caroline herself refused to deal with me and has her staff. I dont know what to do. I tried cancelling the same evening as I was really pushed into something I dont want and even after just couple of hours they refused to release my deposit.

Thanks to Le Spose di Milano and Caroline Castigliano, on my wedding day I was incredibly uncomfortable and frustrated. I did not receive the dress that I'd paid for and to this day neither company has taken responsibility.

Disappointing!
I was excited to experience Caroline Castigliano dresses. On entering the store my mother and I received a friendly welcome and the store is beautifully presented. The individual who attended to us was friendly enough, however I believe that the motivation was around selling the dress more than providing a seamless bridal experience. I found myself being led to toast on a dress which I liked but did not love. I also had an appointment with another designer to compare. However once I advised the sales rep of this, her attitude completely changed. I was even convinced to move my appointment forward so I can compare to their dress. Which I tried under pressure but was not possible. Therefore the individual suggested I come back following the appointment to revisit the dress i had seen. Or rather come back to be convinced of the dress. I was okay to do this. But in my mind the fact I wanted to follow through with my last appointment confirmed this dress was not the one. However in being led to make another appointment which I thought was free. She advised that I would need to pay for the appointment again because it was on a Saturday, and would have to do the same for an evening since they had no day appointments. I don’t even know how or why i fell for this sales tactic, after all I did not even want to come back unless of course I did not find something I wanted at my first choice bridal store. However I paid for another appointment. No doubt it was the Prosecco, because I was led to pay another £25. Totalling £50.
Once I visited the other store also in Knightsbridge, I found something I loved. The experience is exactly how a bride should experience a wedding dress consultation. Friendly staff, attentive with absolutely no pressure, and most importantly their main concern is for you to be happy with your choice. They also encourage you to pay the deposit only if you are happy with the dress and you can even return and make a payment at a later date if you wish. Not forceful at all. In any event I found a dress I LOVED. Therefore I contacted the CG store to cancel my appointment, no answer therefore left a message. The next day the lady contacted me asking why I did not come back etc. I explained that I had found something I loved. But she was still encouraging me to come back to try on their dress. It was disappointing as I would’ve expected her to be sad that I did not get a dress from them, but at the very least be happy I found something I liked. Instead of pushing me to come back. In the midst of the persuasion we got disconnected, she called back. I advised I would call her back as I was busy shopping. I called back but could not reach her. I left an email to advise that I was 100% happy with my choice and would not be changing it, and I would be grateful if they could refund the additional payment I made. But if not that is also fine. But also advised I had a good experience with them out of courtesy. However I got no acknowledgement to my email, I contacted the store a few days later and spoke to someone else. I explained about the return of funds, however she said often they require 24 hrs notice to cancel an appointment. Even though my appointment was mid week, a second appointment and they do not often charge for mid week appointments only if after 6pm. I cancelled my appointment earlier in the day, therefore this gave plenty of opportunity for the person to be notified. In any event I asked the person I dealt with to call me back. To date nothing, hence why I felt the need to write this review.
Clearly all they care about is making sales and what I would describe taking money from brides. The money is not even an issue, however it is the principle, and also the fact that she did not have the decency to reply to my email or return my call. Even if it was to say she will not do the refund. Extremely rude. Some brides are on a tight budget and I believe it’s despicable to treat brides like this. What’s surprising is that she could not be nicer and could not stop calling me to convince me to buy a dress from them. It’s sad that people can be so fake at a time that should be fun and memorable. Clearly the only goal was to make her commission. I think it’s sad that someone can turn such a nice experience into purely making money from unsuspecting people. We need to highlight such things so it does not happen to other brides. I agree with most of the comments here; money hungry, like used car salesmen, pushy and will quite frankly do anything to make the sale. I do think they should be ashamed of themselves, more so being a well known store. If the designs are so good, they should not have to force people to make purchases. This store does not deserve to be on Brompton road. Shameful!!!! Brides beware.

Caroline Castigliano Knightsbridge, Excellent
I had my wedding June 2013 and getting the wedding dress was a major stress, i.e. one of the biggest decisions!! I literally went everywhere in London but fell in love with a dress at CC Knightsbridge. The service is fantastic, yes you get pink champagne on arrival as a new bride so all adds to the excitement! I found the staff very friendly, informative and kind, I also met Caroline a couple of times and she was lovely. I have to say i was very worried about going with the dress as i'd heard of a couple of bad experiences through friends but it was literally 'the one' so i took the risk. If you are worried say your wedding is a couple of weeks before it actually is, that gives you some time to get anything fixed if you want. This didn't happen to me at all though and it was all perfect and beautiful. The seamstress is sooooooo lovely and professional and she honestly did a fantastic job with the dress (made to measure.) I love my dress so much and felt like a princess on my wedding day. I also got a beautiful bolera and veil for the ceremony and sparkling tiara :) I'm now thinking of arranging a fun 'dress' photoshoot just before i pack it away forever as i can't bear to say goodbye!!
Fantastic Experience At Caroline Castigliano
I bought my wedding dress 'daisy' from the Caroline Castigliano shop in Knightsbridge and I have to say the experience was fantastic. From the moment if went in with my mum and mother in law to be I felt that this was the place for me. We started with a glass of champagne and a chat about what my wedding was going to be like and the venue ect. I must have tried on 15 dresses and kept coming back to the second one I put on. The lady helping me seemed to really understand what I wanted and how I wanted to look, and explained all about the dresses. I tried on all types of shapes, laces, straps, no straps but still came back to daisy. I bought the dress then and there I was so excited and still when I think about it I get excited. I can't wait to go and try my actual dress on in May. The team there have made my experience so far brilliant and I have and will recommend Caroline castigliano to future brides as the experience has been to relaxing and exciting there.

Disappointing! And Painful!
I must say that the look of this shop is lovely but the experience I had there was terrible:
Firstly, I had to pay a fee to try on the dresses and then they were so rude about me bringing more than two people with me to try on, though of course I wanted to bring my mum, step mum and mother in law to see my wedding dress. The staff were condescending and pushy and lots of the dresses fairly tacky looking. However they turned out to be the best of a bad bunch so in the end I did buy my dress from them.
On the day however the corset was very hard for my bridesmaid to do up, agony to sit down in, warped in shape by the end of the evening and left me with bruising around my ribs that lasted 3 months. Being in pain like this really put a dampen on my wedding day so needless to say, I cannot recommend them. Also, the dress they made me looked nothing like the one I had tried on initially in shape so I was disappointed with the look despite any modifications they tried to make.

'beauty'
My wedding was the end of October, and I just wish I could do it all over again, it was the most amazing day, everything I could have hoped and planned for, and lets face it there is A LOT of planning. I first went to Caroline Castigliano in the summer last year where I found Beauty, after always saying I didn't want a full skirt I knew as soon as I tried on beauty it was 'the one'. The ladies in the store where great, they listened to everything I said, ensured I had tried on all silhouettes to ensure Beauty was the one. I had my measures early this year and ever since I have never had to worry about anything, the staff there were so great, when ever I went in to the store they were so chatty and interested in how things were, and they worked around my busy schedule staying late one evening just so I could try on my accessories with the dress. When I went for my final fitting I felt so relaxed and calm about everything, the fit was exquisite and I know that I would not have been able to find this made to measure service anywhere else, I was so excited about showing all my friends and family. I felt amazing and everyone commented on it. All in all it was an amazing experience I will cherish and thank Caroline and her team for making it so enjoyable and well 'easy'.
Close Her Down
I bought my wedding dress from CC and had a terrible experience. Despite having involved solicitors she has treated my mum and I terribly. My dress had to be remade on the Wednesday before my wedding which was on the Sunday. I did not get to try it on until the Friday morning and even then they took it away for further alterations. Despite these enormous problems I was offered no compensation or even a serious apology, we had to cancel family dinners and all my beautician appointments had to be rescheduled. Additionally they did not even bother to send someone to help me put on my dress on the day, I had not tried it on since their last alterations on the Friday.
She acknowledged her mistakes by sending me flowers and remaking the top section of my dress, but I was not compensated. She gave me no refund, discount, nothing complimentary, nothing.
Hi, sorry to read this, it seems that many women are very unhappy with CC service and post sale service.
I am currently in a bad situation with them as well, and could really use some advice, especially as you had lawyers involved which I am planning on doing also. Would it be possible to speak directly to you ? Many thanks !
This is so awful I'm so sorry for your ordeal. I also had a bad experience with them.

The Perfect Dress - Wild Orchid - Disappointed
I found my dream dress and yes it was a Caroline Castigliano wedding dress. I live in Switzerland and the boutique I went to was having a fashion show with Caroline's dresses and Caroline herself was there. It was an honor to meet the designer, so I thought at the time. An incentive to close the deal during the event was that for no extra cost you would receive a made to measure dress and Caroline would personally take your measurements. I was so excited and purchased my dress. Caroline took my measurements and I just couldn't wait to receive my dress in 3 months time. I was also excited to know that very few alterations would be necessary when would go for my fitting. To my utter shock when the dress was ready and I went to my fitting it was huge. They tied to say I lost weight but I definitely did not loose 3 dress sizes and I was not even dieting! It clearly was not a made to measure dress. They sent the dress back to be fitted properly in the UK. When I came back for the dress a week before my wedding nothing had been done. The dress came back still as large as it was before, the only thing was the underskirt was a mess. There were wholes & rips in the organza. The owner of the boutique had the audacity to say at least no one can see, I told her the most important person saw and that is the bride. I started crying and was devastated. What should have been a wonderful and memorable experience turned out to be a nightmare and full of stress. I broke out in a rash with fear my dress would not be ready in time for my wedding. The seamstress at the boutique was a doll and managed to fix most everything for my big day. I am shocked that no one at Caroline Castigliano did a thing about my dress. That they would claim to make a made to measure dress and lie then when sent back to them not alter the dress but send a dress back with wholes and rips. It definitely no longer felt like a designer dress. A made in China dress would have had better finishing on the organza and petty coat. Such a shame. I guess when a designer starts to get too big they no longer care about the quality of their work but just mass numbers. This dress felt like it was just another number not something special as a designer gown should be. The experience of my dress was horrific. I will never forget my stress and just feeling ill to my stomach right before my wedding. I would think a designer and her team would take pride in their work and try to find a solution and make every customer important. The price may be designer but the quality and service was not. So disappointed. The dress i purchased is called the Wild Orchid it is a beautiful dress but not worth the price for the poor customer service and neglect.
I experienced exactly the same thing with this designer. She wasn't involved herself in the measuring but everything else was identical. They tried to charge me a further £900 for a new dress; I walked out if the store with the ill fitting one and got it altered professionally with just one week to go.
