So after visiting my local community centre I have to say I have never met such a rude bunch of people in all my life! To be made to feel totally inadequate for rescuing animals and not breeding them to show! To be patronised, to be given disapproving looks and made to feel totally uncomfortable, no manners even when I purchased items. To see rats in tiny containers that had obviously been there hours in my opinion is no way to look after an animal. It seems that if your face fits and you have no personality you will go far! In never a truer word spoken pets really do like like their owners!

The Midlands Rat Club is a good site for members of the club as it has all the information on shows, and a fantastically friendly forum for members. For non-members it's great to be able to see what shows are like because of all the photos. It has links to sites on other rat clubs, and information on finding vets, other members sites and how to find rat kittens. What I think it could use is links to informational sites on rat care, for basic queries involving behaviour and minor health problems in rats (though of course these are no substitute for a visit to the vets!).
