Just Need Some Help!
I need to learn how to use Photoshop so I can help my son, but I think it is me that needs the help.
I love the effects it can do but just can't seem to do what I set out to do.
I know it is one of the best around, so I guess it will come to me eventually.
Patience and perseverance is all that I need - right?

I bought Photoshop Elements 7 and downloaded the package. There was an immediate problem as the software froze in edit mode and would not import any images. I reinstalled four times-still the problem.
After waiting for 30 minutes on the phone I eventually spoke to an 'adviser' who told me I should learn to be more patient! When I related the problem I was sent to a KB page which had a long list of 'possible solutions'. To me, it appeared incomprehensible and had disclaimers saying if you did this or that and your computer crashed Adobe would not be responsible. Horrendous. I have asked for a refund but they are not responding. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I have been completely put off Adobe due to their extremely poor technical and customer service. on day 7 of using this software it crashed. Adobe's technical support and customer service was poor. 3 weeks on they still haven't acknowledged my problem. I received an email today notifying me my case has "been resolved". Interesting - the software is still crashed and I have had no-one from Adobe contact me as far as I know.

Adobe Have Had The Worst Customer Service I Have E
Adobe have had the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced! Let alone trying to find a number that's right to help you, they have made it impossible to speak to anyone in the UK! I bought Photoshop Elements after many months trying to find a person who could understand how to order it. Once received there is a problem with it... I CAN NOT SEEM GET THROUGH TO ANYONE TO HELP YET! Please, please, please someone else like Quark challenge Adobe with your products and customer service... because I tell you know, it won't take much to!

Because The Inability To Do Ad Hoc Type Creations,
Because the inability to do ad hoc type creations, I find this tool to be extremely limiting and very frustrating.
The Adobe Photoshop Elements Software Is Easy To I
The Adobe Photoshop Elements software is easy to install, but re-install does not take into account the remaining (29/30) days trial.
I phoned their UK helpline and the member of staff I spoke to had an unhelpful attitude. I asked to speak to a manager, bit was told I couldn't! With support like that how can I use this product?

I Had Exactly The Same Problem As Jaxhogan, My Key
I had exactly the same problem as jaxhogan, my keyboard was set to Welsh and as soon as I set it to English UK the problem with the edit option freezing my computer was solved. I can only assume that our laptops were constructed in a factory in Wales and that explains the setting option!!

My Anticipation Was High As I Loaded The Adobe Pho
My anticipation was high as I loaded the Adobe Photoshop Elements software.
After all, all the reviews had been good, and previous Photoshop software
worked like a dream.
However, my dreams came crashing down when I tried to run the edit option. I
waited... and waited... but my system was stuck fast. The screen was frozen,
and according to Task Manager, the software is not responding but is using
up all my CPU!
I tried everything to fix the problem, including reloading Photoshop,
removing anything remotely resembling 'photo software', reinstalling Norton,
updating windows XP, resetting my screen refresh rate, and reducing my
hardware graphics accelerator.
Then after a month of bemoaning this waste of money, I called Adobe.......
A very helpful tech support person, talked me through some checks, and then
asked something very Bizarre.... "Was I running in English?" When I checked,
I discovered that the default language on my PC had been set to Welsh.
Apparently Photoshop doesn't like this (I don't think it's just Welsh
though!). I changed it to English, and voila, it worked fine! You won't find
this on their FAQ page, but if you have problems it's certainly worth a try.
I can recommend their tech support - something I rarely do.
The software itself is very good with all the features you could possibly
want. The layers take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, it's easy.

I Highly Recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements For Th
I highly Recommend Adobe PhotoShop Elements for the serious digital photographer. For those who are hesitant about plunging into PhotoShop, let me recommend this highly versatile package instead. It is a fraction of the price and it looks, feels, and operates like its big brother.
I use PhotoShop 6.0 at work constantly, but can't afford the package for home use. However Photoshop Elements has filled the bill and I have found it to do most everything that PhotoShop can. I wouldn't recommend Elements for those who just want to make quick and pretty greeting cards or photo album pages. PrintShop is best for that. Elements is suited for individual photo manipulations.
The most valuable tool of Elements is it's layering capibility. This feature separates the pro packages from the run of the mill.
As with new software there is a learning curve ahead and Elements is no different. It's a package that is easy enough to get you started right into the basics, however you'll spend the rest of the year discovering and experminting with the many creative features.
Added help and tip menus come with Elements, they step you through intricate photo effects, sometimes just with drag and drop operations. The file outout is pretty big when your working with multiple layers. But once your creation is finished you can flatten all the layers down to one and save as a JPEG.
I love the sharpening algorythum on the Adobe products, it does an excellent job with my digital images. Elements will give you full control of your photo creation.
