I recently purchased some Body Shop Ultra Smooth Face Base in my last attempt to find a foundation that would give me an even coverage that covered redness through out the day. When I bought it, it had been reduced to £2 pounds and I was pleased as I had seen it before for something like £6.
I was dying to try it when I got home so I opened the tube which had a sort of screw on, click lid and squirted some out. Here is where you have to be careful, you only need to squeeze the tube a little bit otherwise you will have wasted half the tube before you have even started, but anyway I felt the texture and it's really nice, it's a light fluffy sort of foundation that feels really smooth and soft. I then smoothed two blobs of the stuff all over my face and it looked and felt great! It makes your skin feel so soft and hardly feels like your wearing foundation even though it covers flaws and redness like magic. I have tried countless numbers of foundation before from cheaper brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline to more expensive brands such as Clinique and Clarins, none of which have satisfied me as much as this foundation did. It smells good to, a bit like caramel! I don't even need powder after the application because it makes your face absalutely perfect!
However, there is a few bad things. If you have extremely dry skin, this stuff really isn't for you. I had a few bad skin days where I had a few dry patches and it really didn't do me any favours as it showed the dry patches up very clearly, but if your like me and have good skin most of the time, you really ought to try it!
