The good point of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is that you could inherit a city full with corruption and you have to do missions to unlock the three island and you could do everything you want. As with GTA games this one is a bit weak on the graphics . It's a good game and everyone who likes psp games should buy it. In my opinion, it's the best there is.

This is the best game out there for the PSP. I recommend that if you're going to get a PSP get this game the graphics are at the top. The game play is good and I've found doing the levels again and again doesn't get repetative. The music is the best a game can have.

For a GTA game this is not spectacular. But it's on PSP. That means you can play GTA on the plane, train etc. Having some mindless destruction, on tap, whenever and wherever you want it, is what makes this third game great.
As for the game itself, It's really pretty good. Sure it reaches nothing resembling the dizzying heights of GTA San Andreas or Half Life 2, but It still fills me with hope for the future of portable gaming.
There is a GTA storyline with some pretty cool and wacky characters and it isn't short either. The good guy, Tony Cipriani, is fantastic and is everything a GTA goody should be, straight, fair, tough and pretty sharp to boot. However the other characters, with the exception of Salvator are generally just there to use and abuse you, which can become annoying after a while. I estimate the missions will take you about 8 hours to complete. And once you have done that there are loads of other things to do, the possibilities are (almost) endless.
However, like all games, it wont last forever. The shelf life is shortened by the lack of flying vehicles, the inability to swim, and the absence most of the cool role playing elements of San Andreas. Another annoying feature is that with all but the most poxy weapons (pistol, uzi) you can move and fire. Which results in you getting gunned to death much more than you should, and is very frustrating.
I recommend, unless you find this at a bargain price, getting the next game in the instalment, Vice City Stories, which a good, logical evolution. Oh, and you can swim.

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories is based on one of its previous games GTA 3. The game is full of action and excitement. There are over 100 main missions do do on the game and many smaller ones, including car races, bike races, R/C car races and other shooting missions, plus you can do missions when you get into a police car, ambulance, firetruck and taxi. Sadly the character you are controlling can't swim so it is a hazard getting into boats or driving by the water. The radio stations are mostly good but some are a bit of a let down to the game. Overall the game is a must have for all GTA fans with a psp.

When I purchased the Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories PSP game, the cashier said something that I really need to quote here "You cannot own a PSP without this game". Obviously, if you are under 18 then you have no choice, but otherwise he was most definitely not wrong.
It is action packed, problem solving, with loads of hidden mini games and more.
I thought I had completed it the other day after completing the final mission, only to find that due to all of the hidden extras - I was only 42% of the way through it.
This is a real must for PSP owners and GTA fans alike. A definite must buy for the PSP! The only downside is that they haven't kept all of the freedom from San Andreas, but you forget about that once you get into it.

The Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Sony PSP game has good graphics and a good storyline until you get halfway, when it starts to get boring. It is easy to complete after then, and maybe it should be a little more challenging!
The multiplayer is the best part of the game! It is fast, reliable; and the only problem is the 6 player maximum :(

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is a very good game although the little analogue stick makes it a little bit tricky to control, graphics and sound are excellent and the game has a lot to offer.

I got this game from Amazon for £30.00, and what can I say? It's brilliant! I waited for it to come out, and it was definitely worth the wait.
Set a few years before GTA III, the game is great, not slow, no lumps or bumps, unless crossing islands.
One downfall I realised was that you cannot tell if your engine is smoking or on fire. You have to go by instinct, or change views. But after having this game for a few weeks, you will work it out.
The vehicles are also excellent, with 11 new cars from San Andreas, and much more from GTA III. For example, you did not have bikes in GTA III, but now you do, along with the hunter chopper.
Another downfall with a difference between San Andreas and LCS is you cannot swim, like the third GTA, but who cares? In this game it does not get you far, and there are hardly any places to drive into water.
Multiplayer is also OK, if you know many people actually with a PSP and LCS, via infrared. Even if you loose connection between the 2 PSP's, it just says connection lost, once you find it again it goes back to how it was, without having to start again!
Besides, this is on PSP, what do you expect? All I expect from a GTA is a wide range of missions, and good graphics.
This game is great! Well recommended.

I agree totally with your review. I liked many of the missions and you could do a variety of things. I personally liked blowing up the helicopters. I also liked the multiplayer missions. It was quite fun shooting your friend down. I found some of the missions in the game quite hard but I got used to it.

I'm going to recommend Grand Theft Auto PSP for the Sony PSP. Overall it is a very good game for the hardcore gamers. Be carefull though the gameplay is very repetitive. You should go buy when it comes out in a store near you.

This console game is great and so is Grand Theft Auto PSP. I traded in my GT3 game for it and boy was it worth it!! This game has it all, the cars, the characters, and best of all, the missions. Those HARDCORE MISSIONS!! Sure, they are a bit easy, but, oh well!
