Okay, I would give it five stars, but now I'm not. I don't get it. Why can't we use a old template or disign. We can't even insert polls or shoutboxes anymore! WHAT THE HECK?! The only way to is to go over a site you made before. I happen to like my old sites!!! I really want to be able to put shout boxes in again. I've tried to get them off the internet but they suck. I just don't get it. If the shout boxes are put back I'll five star it... I mean besides that it's great! The best way to make a website. But besides the shoutboxes gone, it now super lags. I put something in and it doesn't show up. Then when I go back to it after three times it shows up. That's a huge waste of time. I just want shout boxes, and the maybe the old templates back. Please respond and consider what I said. D': And by the way I don't now what the "Value For Money" rating thing is. I'm gonna put adverage 'cuz I don't know, sorry.

Free webs is a great tool, one i used for years as a kid learning basic html. the tools they offer are great does everything you'd expect and a few extras. Doesn't compete with professional software such as dream-weaver but its an excellent free alternative.
The layout for the links is great and very easy to add links throughout your website.
Images need to be hosted via a separate url but just sign up to photobucket or something similar and youl quickly be able to build a decent website.
There are still thing freewebs lacks but for a free web creator id say its fantastic and id definitely recommend this to people wanting to create a website for their own enjoyment / use and small businesses, anything more id recommend dreamweaver or frontpage.

Freewebs now known as webs or webs.com is a pleasant web hosting company they offer a wide range of services from free web hosting to buying domains etc... with lots of great features including HTML, CSS and editor and 2 different site builders they also support Java script and some Flash.
From my 12 years of using Freewebs and then moving to there new service webs I have enjoyed it and learned allot about how the web works and how to build a great big online business.
They ofefr many great premium packages which I never bough because there free package offers enough features for me. The website editor is easy to sue with some drag n drop capabilities. They have an advanced CSS editor and an easy CSS editor and they also include some custom templates for you to use.
There content is great and customer service is actually quite good with lots of ways to contact them via there support community kindly hosted by GetSatisfaction and zen-desk. They also have email and phone and live chat support options available to premium users.
Overall webs (freewebs) is a great servcie and I would recommend them to anyone they are better than weebly and wix.

I've been using Freewebs for 3 years now, and it has done what it says it does.

I have been doing web design for a while and hosted my web site with freewebs ever since. You can use all html/CSS/Java, flash if you make your own site and not use templates. I have made much money off my site and many hits with no downtime. Well recommend freewebs.com.

Though they allow you to have a mini site for your business which is good for me. Sometimes it runs a bit slow in business but I know that they will soon improve. Well recommend freeweb hosting, they are doing very well and is very easy with new users, they should keep it up.

I started with freewebs for my MMORPG just to have as a mini site and hopefully host the game but for business's this host is useless since the domain is www.freewebs.com/you which makes your site look less posh and more kiddish.
There are hardly any scripting allowed because Freewebs is like piczo as far as I am concerned.
I found at times that it can be ever so slow. Taking minutes to the load the page in my experience. With unhelpful costumer support that is in my opinion responded to about twice a year as far as I am concerned.
I admit that there are loads of Features but I found problem's with them. The forums saying "invalid user" which meant I couldn't add any Threads or Boards and I had to make three websites until they actually worked and even then I though I'd save the page and then make some more forums. No, it didn't worked and said invalid user. then making a four website, it worked all the time.

Freewebs recently renamed my website to www1.url.com for 3-4 weeks. Then they changed it back to www.url.com. Most of my traffic came from organic search results. Now all the search engines have me indexed as www1.url.com that leads to a 404 error page that I have no control over due to freewebs not allowing .htaccess access. I have been constantly emailing their support(there is no phone support) and receiving a generic "your site works fine" reply three days later. I have been financially affected by this for more than the $100 a year cost of the hosting. In my opinion, stay clear of freewebs!

With Freewebs hosting you get to choose if you're a new person or advance, which I think is fair. If you want a free web host with all the good points use Freewebs. I can also have iFrames and stuff on mine.
They are a very good host worldwide, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Freewebs is a good host that has been around for quit a while. Not as good as paid hosting but its brilliant since its free.

I have several websites hosted with Freewebs. They have an easy site builder tool which is brilliant. As a total beginner I was able to create a professional looking site with complete ease.
As my knowledge grew, I was able to experiment with HTML using their completely free HTML option. Using these tools I have now set up my own domain website hosted by Freewebs. All the FTP is taken care of by Freewebs in both paid for and free versions. I highly recommend Freewebs to anyone wishing to have a website, whatever your level of expertise.

Freewebs has to be the best free webhost I've seen, it's basic to use but produces great looking pages and the video tutorials really help. The one downfall is that occasionally pages refuse to load or do so very slowly which can be annoying but it only happens occasionally and for the amount of things you can do with it for free it can be forgiven. Over all it get my thumbs up.

I appreciate what they do.
I would suggest only, that they have an option between "free" and "expensive" for the small user who doesn't want to freeload.

There's lots of good point and there's hardly any bad points to Freewebs www.freewebs.com. If there are any bad points I can make up excuses and turn them into good points. It is true though, isn't it, Freewebs is the best website around! if you totally agree with me then please write a review.

Yeah, today it's so slow I've renounced. It's tue. It happens occasionaly. Hey! I'm still a happy camper and check this out: It loads fine again. Could it be that once a month or so, the server checks on our data?
