I have recently visited Peak Fitness 4 U and met the owner Anthony Murray.
I was extremely impressed by the level to which he has turned this troubled gym around.
Anthony is a fully qualified personal trainer and it shows in his equipment, standard of training and atmosphere in the club.
I would now highly reccommend Peak Fitness 4 U to anyone seriously interested in thier fitness!

It is a sin that this compnay has crashed into its now poor condition. It once supplied a very needed outlet for gym users to train in a comfortable club with good equipment and staff and at a realistic price instead of all the big power companies dominating the industry. All the 'would be' new owners of clubs should head this warning - it is never good practice to think your business is safe and you should listen to staff who know the industry better than you........ the outcome could be the same as this one..... a once profitable and marketable company that is now close to crumbling due to bad decision making by its owner and not listening to his senior staff when he asked for advice. The club is in poor condition and its once incredible good word-by-mouth reputation is now non-existant.

I thought I would add a few comments about Quest gym. I agree entirely with fitken in his criticisms towards this gym. As a former member I was disgusted with the poor hygiene in the shower rooms etc. As for the staff (or should I say lack of staff?); one of them is a beauty therapist and the other a receptionist, so any advice on training is not available, nor is nutritional advice. There are also no qualified first aiders present.

I hope you have managed to sort the mishaps that were very evident during the QuestGym period. The opportunity for this gym to be highly successful is excellent buty needs proper attention and upkeep. As a previous worker in Quest Gym I feel sad that we did not have more opportunity to deal with the customers that attended at that time as they were a really good bunch of people. I wish you all the best in your business.

Hi my name is Anthony Murray and I have just recently taken on the building formally known as quest. My company is Peak Fitness 4u and I plan to have the gym reopen by the end of the month. After hearing the previous comments I can assure all members that these issues will not arise when I am in charge. I have already made big improvemnents to the facilty and have a great team of staff on board. I am confident my facility will offer members more than any other facility in the area and memberships will also be less expensive than JJB etc. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Unfortunately I heard that standards have fallen and yes the staff "or lack of staff" is now a major issue. Not only does this not look professional but it is operationally poor and certainly NOT professional. According to sources it has been shambolically attempted to cover this up by placing signs up around the club stating that no staff are able to help ........ is it just me or is that not an essential part of the service........ but heh who am I to question the actions of an owner who didn't listen to his staff, bled his major earner dry due to blind selfish behaviour and now has an unqualified club with poor reputation. I leave the answer of that to the readers of this.

Quest gym is relatively new in the world of health clubs however since its creation it now has 2 existing clubs: 1 in Motherwell and 1 in Airdrie. Due to the expansion of the company there is now plans to open 1 in Irvine. Quest gym is a genuine friendly club with all your up-to-date equipment but at the fraction of the cost in other clubs. The ideal of local participation and economics are paramount in its pricing and for this reason it is an excellent way to get into a healthier lifestyle without bursting the bank. There are no fancy wall coverings or expensive sofas however the place is clean and tidy with more than enough equipment. I think its cool.

I found this review very helpful because I'm looking for a gym to join, i've just moved to the area. I'm a little nervous about joining a gym with the whole 12 month contract thing. I spoke to Anthony and it's clear his passion is fitness and it's not about just signing you up for 12 months. I'm really looking forward to getting started.
