“Poor quality.”

I am very unhappy with the quality of the Magnet cupboards, the paint started to chip off the cupboards almost as soon as it was installed. We don't have children at home or pets and are very careful to look after our appliances. The sink has leaked water through to the stainless steel and the plugs for the sink keeps falling to bits. Started well, delay in work top ( no fault of Magnet) ment the Magnet fitter employed his 2 less experienced sons. Trims and plinths look poor and are still not fitted well dispite having further promises of an experienced fitter. Wine fridge was to tall and therefore needed to purchase another one,now fitted it's not working. floor has now been relayed by a private company as it was uneven all over and uncomfortable to walk on. “Appalling customer service”

I honestly think magnet have the worst customer service and complaints handling that I have ever experienced. There was an error on my delivery, and 2 errors on my order. I had to resolve all 3 myself. I made an official complaint, received a response but wasn't happy with it. Since then, I have been ignored! “Great Kitchen but poor after sales”

We were very pleased with the design and installation of our kitchen by Magnet Eastbourne in June 2015. We now had plenty of cupboard space and worktop areas. In September 2016 we had a fitter call to do the Smart Care visit which he did a very thorough job checking all the cupboards and drawers and adjusting where necessary. We recently bought appliances and fitted units for our Kitchen and utility room from Magnet. The items were delivered in no kind of order that we knew of and items were missing that I had to call the store for. When we did manage to get the items they were damaged. Purchased kitchen at cost of over £25000 to fit in a new extension. During planning we were shown a sink which I rejected and selected a different model. Once order was completed we paid in full by debit card and waited for completion of extension and subsequent installation. 2years ago we had a new magnet kitchen fitted ,from day one we have had problems ,doors dropped and had to be replaced,soft close hinges are always falling off ,the glass cooker splash back cracked and it took 4attempts for them to order the correct size which had now been replaced after 6months .We ordered a bin which was supposed to go under the the sink but when they came to fit it there wasn't enough space so it had to go in a small cupboard next to the cooker which now means I cannot open… Read Full Review

Had kitchen fitted in July, it's now November and only just received the Gas Safety Certificate, which they charged £114.00 for (One appliance, a Gas hob). It was no surprise that the Manager at the Leicester Branch didn't honour his word about the refund for this not turning up on time. Once they have your hard-earned money, they really don't care. I don't even know where to start. I have had such a poor experience with Magnet in Esher that I wanted to warn other potential customers of what issues they could face. It all started so positively in the showroom, yet once we handed over the money it went from bad to worse. We were told the kitchen would take 3-4 weeks. Unfortunately our experience with Magnet has been very poor. Firstly we opted for the flat pack units as I am very experienced in DIY, having worked on projects such as this for over 30 years. The units are of poor quality and not one of the boxes/bags contained the correct number of parts e.g. one bag for a 400 base unit contained only 2 of a particular screw when there should have been 16, the next bag for the same type of unit contained 0 out of 16! “Wish i had never walked through front door!”

“Magnet Leeds. Kitchen, not what we ordered”

Disappointed with the kitchen that we got from Magnet. We spent over £16,000 on our kitchen in total. £12k to magnet and the other £4k on appliances. We were told that we should buy the appliances ourselves in order to save us money. The installation went ok, the problem that we had was a 20/30mm gap directly above our oven (at eye level). I think you'll find, sunshine, that the reviews I have submitted range from 2 reviews with 1 star, 1 with 2 stars and 1 with 5 stars. They provide consumers with information about my experience with these retailers, which companies to avoid and which I'd recommend, for various reasons. I'm not sure what your issues are however if you do not find my reviews informative then I can only suggest they you do not read them. It's quite simple.

Spent £15000 on a supply only kitchen (ready built, most of it) incorrect instructions sent with it (for another type of kitchen) two of the ready assembled units fell apart on delivery, dowel holes had been double drilled so there was a slot instead hole for dowels, a considerable amount of screws were missing as were support tracks. could have assembled the kitchen in about 3 days but it took almost three weeks waiting for missing parts. still waiting for hinges (three months now) as I paid… Read Full Review

“Artists Impression! Take advice . . . . ”

Oh dear. The cooker hood looked like something off the market. It didn't fit (stuck out at the front) and wasn't the internal, integrated unit we expected. It was replaced with a non-venting unit which means we keep the cooker smells and water in the house. Great when you've just spent good money. The cupboard in the corner with a door is now an open slot as the radiator won't allow the door to open. That's the same radiator that they show on the artists impression. We bought our dream Magnet kitchen in 2013 and paid £ 23.000. On reflection the kitchen looks just how we imagined it to look and the design layout works very well practically. The kitchen we purchased was the Charlestone Bone range with granite worktops previously from the Magnet elite / bespoke range. Therefore, one would expect the quality and fit to be amazing.
