Oakwood is a great theme park! It has a lot of big rides and then some more hidden away (well they are easy to find, but come as a good surprise) like spooky 3D. The only problems I have with this park is that not all the rides were open, and they only run one train on each ride which leads to HUGE queueing times. For example on speed, their biggest ride they only had one train on, and it only takes eight people around it on one ride when full. I think that their four must-do big rides are Drenched (used to be called Hydro which was a much better name), Megafobia, Speed and Bounce (although bounce is rarley ever open.) Overall you will enjoy Oakwood no matter what age you are as they have fantastic rides, but try to contact them before going to make sure that all the rides are open.

I loved Oakwoods it was really fantastic. the rides were very good especially the treetops rollercoaster that is my favouite ride of all time!!! and me and my friend went on it about 30 times!!! it was so much fun. I LOVE IT! The only let down was all the birds trying to get all your food but i didn't really like the food so it didn't really matter other than that oakwoods is AMAZING!!!

I visited this park when I was about 11, and it happened to be a couple of weeks after a girl died when she fell out the hydro water ride (as it was closed off).
I don't remember much as it was quite a long time ago, but the park had a serious problem with wasps. They were EVERYWHERE. We took our own picnic, tried to sit down to eat but they were around our food, it was horrible! We didn't eat the whole day just because we couldn't.
This obviously put a downer on our whole day. The rides had such long queues, even the smaller kids rides were long-queued.
Don't get me wrong, when I did finally get on a ride, I enjoyed it, they have lots of decent rides there and plenty of things to do.
I just hope they've sorted their wasp problem, because other than that it's a good day out.

I had a good day here and I thought it was very good. I was about 12 or 13 at the time, can't remember when it was I actually went there, it was a few years back. However we couldn't eat or drink anything as there were wasps everywhere! It ruined some of the day but we tried to enjoy ourselves anyway! They probably don't have a problem with the wasps anymore, so if you're thinking of going, I would strongly recommend it!

Kids couldnt wait to get here they loved it plenty for all ages. Had to wait a while for some rides as day went on but thats always the way. Oakwood Park staff were friendly enough cost me and my two daughters £33.00 to have a go on vertigo ride as you enter the park but other than that all rides included in fee and loved every minute of it in fact we visted chesington on the way to wales and kids liked Oakwood better would have liked to no a little more about height restictions before we got there but we are from otherside of the country so didnt know much about the place till we got told about it by a friend definitely worth a trip.

I didn't give this park a good rating because of how good it is compared to every park. It does have the usual problem with litter, and the theaming is slightly out of whack.
However I will say this. Concidering that the is in Wales which aint exactly the best country in the United Kingdom, I thing it's most likely to be the best place to visit in south Wales. If you're visiting south Wales, don't forget to visit Oakwood Park.

Lots of different rides to suit all the family at Oakwood Park, Pembrokeshire. Best to visit during the week during school times if possible to avoid long queues. Food is expensive, best value food is to be had by speed, hot dogs and bacon butties £2, if you like tea, take your own it is dire!! The park is fairly hilly and people with walking difficulties could struggle.

Oakwood theme park has some of the best thrill rides in the world.
It has the UK's steepest rollercoaster with a 97 degree drop, reaching speeds of 95pkh! Hydro is Europe's fastest, steepest and highest water ride, with a massive 45 foot splash. Megafobia is the wooden rollercoaster, which is always high up in the tables for best wooden coaster, and it has been voted for many things. The bounce, a great fun shot and drop tower. Vertigo, the only ride that you will need to pay extra for, on top of the park entry, and it is well worth it. Climb 180ft high and then plummet to the ground and fly high in the air like a bird. There are also plenty of other attractions for kids, such as The Lost Kingdom, Kidz World, The Wacky Factory, Techniquest, Treetops Coaster, The Magic House, Spooky 3D and many other rides to fill your day up with fun!

Oakwoods in Wales is one of the best theme parks I have ever been to! We went in peak season (August) and the queues were still tiny compared to somewhere like Thorpe Park, Alton Towers... It boasts the largest wooden rollercoaster and the best ride - Hydra's Revenge! It is the tallest water ride in the UK and a truly breathtaking experience. There are, of course, many other rides, some large, some small. As a result, there is plenty to do for all ages and all likes of rides. Definitely worth visiting if in Wales.
