Live, Secret Samadhi - In 1997 the Pennsylvanian four-piece rock outfit 'Live' released their third album 'Secret Samadhi'. The release followed their multi-million selling album "Throwing Copper". The group have again produced a finely crafted, well written, creative and mature rock album packed with a diverse range of styles and techniques.
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Rattlesnake
2. Lakini's Juice
3. Graze
4. Century
5. Ghost
6. Unsheathed
7. Insomnia And The Hole In The Universe
8. Turn My Head
9. Heropsychodreamer
10. Freaks
11. Merica
12. Gas Hed Goes West
Including the usual emotional and, in places, spiritual, rock tracks, this album was another firm step in the direction the band have been moving in. With such tracks as "Lakini's Juice" which delivers a broken, chunky riff that constructs the main backbone of the track, to the haunting and deeply atmospheric "Gas Hed Goes West," the album is as diverse and moving as anything they have done before. If you liked the album "Throwing Copper," then this album is in much the same vein. Twelve proficiently performed and well-written tracks that deliver a rare depth of emotion.
