I believe this book will be seen in years to come as a seminole piece of investigative journalism. It is a superb book, Pilger is almost a Dickens figure in his illustrations of the price of capitalism and globalisation. There is more information here than you could ever find between 2 covers and yet it is impossible to put the book down. The style is informative and informed never patronising and never shirking from the facts no matter how unpalatable they may be. This book had a profound effect on the way I view much of subsequent information that I receive about how wonderful things are in the West. It is almost a matrix like conversion and I stronly recommend it to absolutely anyone with an interest in investigation and politics.
