After The Sunset Has The True Makings Of A Classic
After The Sunset has the true makings of a classic, exotic locations, high profile cast, reasonable sounding plot... I was thinking it sounds too good, but it truely delivers. Pierce Brosnan picks up where he left off in the Thomas Crown Affair as a master thief (though this by no means a sequel). Salma Hayek plays his rather lovely girlfriend and accomplice. They retire to a tropical island in the carribean to enjoy there ill gotten gains and live the quiet life. However Harrison (Who is superb as always) turns up as a cop bent on revenge after Brosnan has got one too many over on him. A ship with a mega diamond turns up on the island, will the temptation prove to much for the retired thief, will the cop get his man? As the film continues you sense a twist coming but I didn't guess what had happened entirely. Don Cheadle also adds his magic as the local island gangsta who also fancies the stone to fund his casinos. This is a great film just like it should be, it just appears to have been missed by most people which is a bit of a shame.
