Having ordered a Xmas hamper for delivery in mid December, it never arrived. After several attempts at contacting F&M, they finally (January 5th) found they had lost it. Judging by other reviewers on other sites this is a common occurrence with Fortnum & Mason. They are simply unreliable Xmas hampers. Never again!

The hampers are great, but the delivery service is poor - tend to get lost and/or delayed.

In my work environment, im used to recieving Hampers from all and sundry at Christmas time. As a result, i now buy my parents a Hamper from Fortnum and Masons every year. Albeit, its normally one of the alcohol hampers.
F&M's hampers are by FAR and away the best and most impressive hampers to have delivered to you.. Some, lesser organisations send out the hamper and the ingredients seperatly, some others you look at the contents and empty half of it into the bin immediatly, and some are just a complete waste of money.
F&M, in the majority, have hit it right. Cut out the rubbish and concentrate on the popular items. There are, as always, some items you will never eat in some of the hampers, but, that is to be expected.
That aside, my experiences are that F&M are by far and away the best out there.

My review is not so much about Fortnum & Mason hampers themselves, but rather the great difficulty I experienced in trying to order one!
I tried ordering a Christmas hamper through the Fortnum & Mason UK website, only to have the site crash on me three times just before completing the registration process and having to start again each time. So I tried to ring the store. The number given on the website rang and rang and rang. I tried two or three times to no avail. I eventually got through to the Hampers Department and began to place my order. On giving the delivery address in the USA, I was told they couldn't help me (despite the product being listed on their UK website as ideal for export!) and that I had to go through their US site.
After being put on hold again, I was given a number I could try in case their website was as precarious as the UK one, and eventually got through to a helpful member of staff in the US. Their system was excruciatingly slow however, and it took me another full 30 minutes to place my order.
By the end of this process I sincerely wished I hadn't bothered, and will certainly never order from Fortnum & Masons again!
