Sadly after 4 years of my lovable Remington Power Ceramic died today, I use it every other day since Xmas 2003, both of my sons and their girlfriends have used it. I travelled all over the world with it.

My husband managed to get inside by filing down a screwdriver as they are tamper proof screws. Anybody who would not know what to do would have had to throw them out and buy a new set. In both cases the switch had become loose from its mounting on the inside as it was put together badly. This is a shame as they are basically such good straighteners.

The Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners are easy to use, and they grip hair really well and offer a really smooth finish. They would be better with a swivel cord. But I would definitely recommend this styling product to all.

I like this straightener because it is fast warming it up, and it actually keeps my hair straight unlike the other ones that I have used! Another good thing that is good is that it comes with a 2 yr warranty.

Remington Power Ceramic straighteners work very well but fall apart.

Now I am not very pleased as I have had two sets of these straighteners and both have failed with a switch wiring problem. Remington replaced the first set for me with no problems. Customer service was good but there seems to be a recurrent problem with this model.

I have had nothing but trouble with these straighteners. I would say they are great straighteners though. I have bought six pairs in 3 years, and all of them have had faulty leads. I don't know why I kept buying them.

I have had 3 pairs of these, and all 3 of them have broken due to a manufacturing fault in the leads. This fault cannot be fixed. The other pair that broke were the 3X Protection Remington Power Ceramic straighteners, which never worked right from the day they were bought, and now have broken completely.

A friend recommended the Remington Power ceramic hair straighteners so I went out to have a look at them. The sales lady said they were fantastic, and so I paid for them, rushed home and tried them. My hair was pretty straight from the last time I used a straightener, but I could still see a big difference!!

Overall, the Remington Power Ceramic straighteners are the best straighteners I've ever had (and I've had a few pairs!). I would definitely recommend them and they are definitely worth their price ... which suprisingly is rather cheap!

I bought the Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners 2 weeks ago from Boots online after reading the reviews on this site. Paid £52, on offer from £79.99. I am so impressed!! used them 2-3 times a week, fab for long hair! cuts down on styling time on wet or dry hair as the plates are so wide you can do much larger sections of hair at a time. My previous pair were Kodos and my Rems cost me less than half what I paid for my Kodos and work so much better on my hair type, my mate has GHDs, I did her hair from wet with my Rems - she was stunned and is getting a pair of Rems when hers give up the ghost. Remember to use a heat protection spray or oil as they do get very hot and watch you have the vents facing upwards otherwise you could burn yourself from the escaping steam!

The Remington Power Ceramic Straightener is fabulous for all types of hair. It works wonders that no other straightener can. I have had the Remington for 1 year, and I have beautiful healthy looking hair today..

Well I have had the Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners for two years now and they are still going strong. They work brilliantly, heat up very fast, and striaghten even the thickest of hair. My friend has borrowed them and her hair is very curly. She was so impressed that she is asking her husband to buy her some for Christmas. Normally it would take her an hour or 2 to straighten her hair but with mine it took her under half an hour! Now that's impressive. Don't change them Remington please.

My previous straightners were also Remington, which were excellent until my little cousin decided to tramble over them!
I wanted to buy another pair of Remington because I knew that they worked well on my hair but I didn't want to spend too much on another pair.
I found this one in Argos for about £25 which was a bargain, a bit wary as to whether or not these would be any good for my hair. But I brought them and they are excellent! Straightens my hair really well and don't hear no sizzling and static when straightening from these unlike some of my friends straighteners.
The width of the plates are just right, not to small and pathetic and not too big so you are unable to straighten the little curl you get at the front. Which is very annoying.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product, affordable, very good & well known brand. Worth every penny. The product as well doesnt feel to cheap and light, you can tell its of good quality. These straigheners have been thrown to the floor by myself whilst in a rush a number of times but are still in excellent condidtion and work good as new.
The only downside to this product is it comes with no on & off button which can be annoying.

Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners have never failed me. Even though my hair is naturally straight, I used these just get it that bit poker and also to ensure my hair was left shiney. They never caused static either, which I am often prone to. Even though after a year I fear they have broken, I do think a year is around about the average life-span of straightners under £50.
I would recommend these for hair that doesn't need too much taming, or if you want to create different looks.

I've had the Remington Power Ceramic straighteners for over a year now, and I wouldn't change them for anything else! My friend has a pair of GHD's and we both have really thick frizzy hair. Mine being more curly. Any time I've borrowed hers I've been really disappointed with the results! GHD's are SO overrated! These Remington ones outperform them by a mile, although I daren't tell my friend who spent £90! They really are excellent value for money! I can't believe Remington are only selling them for £20! I'm getting a new pair for Christmas because the ceramic layer is starting to peel off, but I haven't even thought about trying another brand out because these are really truly amazing!

The Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners are absolutely brilliant, there isn't anything else on the market to match them, the price is amazing. I would recommend them to any one.

The Remington Power Ceramic straighteners are fab, and for £25 they are an absolute bargain. I had Nicky Clarke ones before these and they were nowhere near as hot or quick and they snagged my hair and pulled it out. I would recommend these to anyone!!

I bought a pair of Remington Power Ceramic straighteners over a year ago. They are still fully operational, heating up quickly and straightening my hair relatively fast.
I have got over the on-off button being on the outside (often causing friends who are borrowing them to turn them off and then say they are rubbish because they are cold). I use them upside down and use my thumb to press the button upwards to on whilst in use.
Also, I have electrocuted myself several times when unplugging the appliance, even when it has been off for several minutes. It's only a little shock though.
Sometimes I snag my hair slightly, and the ceramic layer has peeled off the plates (but this might be because I used to straighten my hair wet, it's not happened to anyone else's).
Apart from this, they are smart looking, have a conveniently long cable and have never blown up.

WOW! how good are these Remington Power Ceramic Straighteners?! I have wanted GHD ones for so long, but being a student they are a little out of my price range. I read lots of good reviews on this product so i thought I'd give them a go. I was amazed at the results, very hot and quick. It seems to sound as if my hair was breaking but no damage caused, phew. My hair is so frizzy long, dry and v thick and it was done perfect in about 15 mins. For £20 they are a bargain and I say try these before any expensive ones, if I had the money I would buy GHD but these are perfect until I qualify. Go get them girls.

I've tried different brands of products and I prefer the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it works pretty good, removes static and leaves my hair silky and shiny :D
