“Oh My.. Microsoft Is Associated With This?!”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 31/10/2017

So I have a website and I have been using Amazon Associates - which is super updated, their admin area is superior beyond anything else I have used, its easy to GET where you need to go, etc. I decided to try Microsoft Affiliate program, I sign up, and I log in and I am appalled that Microsoft is actually okay with being associated with this company. Its really weird. The main page looks like a normal, but very professional landing page, it sounds like its a great op to join up to, etc. Then you sign in and its horrific. Its ugly, and bare and just horrible. The fact that Microsoft wants to be associated with this website really makes me wonder.

“No customer service”

Very slow to respond to emails unless your trying to terminate! UI is archaic, performance is terrible and they don't seem to have the expertise to assist with strategy. Will not be using again.

“Banner links that don't work, and CP that is archaic”

★☆☆☆☆

written by SarahiGalbraith on 06/09/2016

I joined as an affiliate because a company I wanted to promote used them, so I assumed they would be good. However, the lack of recent reviews was a concern which is why I am writing this review. I signed up to another network at the same time, which took longer to apply for but is more professional. The control panel is outdated and doesn't even show the programs you have signed up for, the links included and banners are all out of date and don't work. It simply wasn't work the effort to sign up. Programs are decided by the account managers who generally oversee several accounts and once you are denied, you can never reapply. I was rejected for three programs which I assume someone just pressed a button to decline them as they were all done within minutes of each other. The irony is I was accepted on the other network by higher profile companies already. The tools provided by Tradedoubler are pretty poor, and communications seem unprofessional so I decided to delete my account there. I can see why there are no glowing reviews.

“The worst service and network”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jkPerry151 on 22/10/2014

I have never been so poorly treated by a business that charges over £5k a year for it's services. The support during the implementation process was absolutely hopeless. Despite their claims to generate significant business for us the quality of their network is extremely low compared to going direct or through peers. Once the services was up and running they failed to generate any business for us at all. Once the account is active the support is even worse. The main telephone line is not answered and to get a call back takes about two weeks. When we threatened to cancel they sent over a list of potential affiliates we should get in touch with that had absolutely nothing to do with our services. For business to business service and for value for money I would rate them pointless. bad services, no business generation, long term fixed costs are simply not worth it. They just give the impression that they simply don't care. I would avoid at all costs!

“Awful customer support”

Tradedoubler does not answer any emails, they just ignore you. If you have any problems with them and believe me you will! they never help. Will never work with them again. No wonder Apple does not work with them either.

“Never had a Payment Problem with them”

★★★★☆

written by on 16/06/2013

Was on to check if any one left a review about my Affiliate company and started to read all Affiliate Network reviews, I been with TradeDoubler as an Affiliate for at least 7 years now and never had any of the problems with them or any of my other top 3 Networks TradeDoubler, Affiliate Window and Paid On Results. You pretty much have nothing to lose to try them out, costs you nothing to be an Affiliate and long as you don't do any of the bad stuff then your going to get paid if you can convert your users in to buyers via the TradeDoubler merchants.

“Getting the runaround”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 18/06/2012

I have been communicating by email with people at Trade Doubler. I cannot input my bank information since my bank is in the United States. Are they so parochial or whatever as to be unaware of the existence of the United States? Also Trade Doubler will not accept my address since my address is not in the United Kingdom. I have web pages of interest to people in the United Kingdom, but I happen to be located in the United States. Is that so hard to understand?

“TradeDouble Affiliate Programme - Appalling, Inept Support”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jasoncooke93 on 27/05/2012

TradeDoubler are the only Affiliate Network that have a ridiculous verification process, whereby you need to confirm the website is yours. This has cost me 2 week plus and its still not verified. I've been trying to verify 1 website for over 2 weeks. I sent the web page of my site showing the verification code to a guy called Pavan in TradeDoubler support. I get a message back saying 'its verified'. I log into my account and guess what? Its still not verified. So I email them again and they send me a canned message response asking me to verify. This cycle goes round and round and has happened 5 times at least over 2 weeks plus. I've now requested my account is closed. Absolutely Shocking Support.

“TradeDoubler”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 25/05/2012

Here I will tell something about my experience with tradedoubler.com I have been an affiliate of TradeDoubler for several years, and now I have my account blocked illegitimately. The problems began on 9th of this month, when trying to login inserting my correct details, I noticed that despite didn’t appear any message about wrong user/password, I couldn’t login (a problem happened also in the past) and I contacted the Italian customer care. On 10th of May, I received a mail from Tradedoubler that told me that because the sites in which I put the banners were inactive he had to block my account. I explained him via mail that some sites were with domains expired, and other cancelled because the blog provider dismissed that activity. According to their terms and conditions, the inactivity of the sites is not reason for closure of accounts. Then they should have noticed me before inhibiting access to the site. They had to say, in my opinion, dear publisher your sites are inactive, or you submit new sites and put our banners or we will suspend your account. I have 12 euro of balance and they said that they will be transferred, but not specified when. I wrote to them that I wanted to login my account also to be sure that my bank details to receive the 12 euro were correct. So, summarizing, after the mail of them, I replied to him via mail, saying that suspension was illegitimate, that I wanted to continue to login specially to check the correctness of my bank details. He didn’t reply. Then 2 days ago I have phoned them at the number +39 02 919838, and the guy that replied said that he was on holiday, that over the phone they don’t resolve this kind of problems and that I had to write to [email protected]. I wrote, but as expected, they didn’t reply even though I received a reading confirmation mail , my mail was been read by another guy. By the way I believe he has a conflict of interest, he is "head of network" and suspends the accounts but he is also a pubblisher, take a look to his website http://www.sanbaldo.com/wordpress/category/programmazione/ (homepage http://www.sanbaldo.com/wordpress), you will see that at the bottom of page if you click on "prodotti correlati" you will be redirected to a banner of TradeDoubler. So in my opinion, this guy has interest in suspending other pubblishers, suspending his competitors; the slices of the cake become bigger for him. If you have a website and you want to monetize it, stay away from them.

I've not had any problems with Trade Doubler paying me so far. Possibly one difference, I think the merchant I promote has a pre paid affiliate account to help ensure the money is there. I don't know if this is a difference to the other commentors problems.

We used Tradedoubler and were impressed with the content available. However after personally making a booking with BA worth over 2,000 UK pounds via a tradedoubler link to BA (using the code generated from the tradedoubler site) shown on our website (www.yougodo.com), we were never paid, despite receiving emails from Tradedoubler support staff stating that they recognised the booking came from one of our websites (although the site they stated originated the booking was not the one we used). After months of wrangling and emails stating the facts above we were declined payment.

No doubt Trade Doubler(TD) is one of the largest affiliate networks in Europe. TD monthly charges are very high or I would say inaccessible for the small/medium size businesses(Merchants). Good for affiliates :-). If you are mechant then try other good affiliate networks: Affiliate Future, Affiliate Window, OMG

“Trade Doubler is a European Affiliate site with...”

★★★★☆

written by aquastar on 05/09/2006

Trade Doubler is a European Affiliate site with hundreds of merchants on their books, with most of them being brand names like John Lewis and Currys.

So let's go through the basics:- They pay directly into your bank account, and they have loads of ways to generate reports, including graphs etc. They have also got content generators for some sites to help increase the chance of commission. The support is good too.

There really isn't much else to say about this fine company, as they don't seem to have too many faults.

Recommended.

Welbee's Response to willow2178's Review

Written on: 09/01/2006

It's horrible, but this is business as usual for Trade Doubler. As much as they charge to get advertisers set up, I really don't understand why it would be a problem to create accounts for each of their advertisers so affiliates could be paid on time. Almost all of the larger US networks like CJ require this to even get set up. You have to have a certain amount in your acocunt so that they don't have 2, 3 and sometimes even 4 month delays in paying people who are working to help build their brand. It's disgusting that they're so affiliate unfriendly and continue to grow.

Hi,
Same issue here. We advertise their merchants for 5 months and we never received any payment. I sent an email to inquire for my payment since I reached the threshold and we were questioned how we generate traffic. I sent them all proof and yet after a week they suspended my account. Awe full customer support and they are just using publishers to get traffic for free. Worst Network.

written by Paul Nadin. on 23/08/2001

I complained about not getting paid recently. At first they ignored me but I got a call this morning.

They owe me over £250, Most of which I should of received
last month and some the month before (after the usual 2 month wait).

Apparently, they can't persuade their major accounts to pay up.

Which means if we aren't getting the dosh, neither are they !!!
